Agnes, my mind is going to lilacs. I'm thinking of having Cliff repaint my dresser in a metallic lilac paint to go with it. I saw the paint at Home Depot a while back and it has been in my mind ever since. I have to figure out what I can do for curtains.

It is getting to look like the job will be ending at the end of the year so I see much time in my future. Right now Cliff and I are trying to work on some things to see what we could do to start up a small business just to add to my social security so I don't have to try to find another job. It would be really hard after 27 years in this job. We have several ideas and are really going to get to work on them within the next couple of weeks and see what happens.

      Judy

I've been working on this quilt for some time now, fitting it in between the BOM's. I had fun, but would do it differently next time. The flowers were appliqued on each quarter block before putting the four pieces together. I would applique the entire flower as one piece next time. I think I would also add small applique circles to the blocks created by the flower blocks. It's 84x84. Hope you like.

I love your quilt....very cheery and spring-like! I also especially like your autumn 8 x 10 quilt in your album, the quilted version of your original painting! I did some painting a while back and never did that idea occur to me. You've opened my eyes to yet another dimension of my personal quilting journey.

As quilters, you know when you have the moment when you see a pattern or picture and you know right then "THAT'S IT!"? I've been looking through magazines and at web sites to find just the right pattern for my daughter in brights that would be both machine pieced and appliqued - and Jan yours is just perfect! It's a happy quilt - just like she is! Thank you for the inspiration.

Here is my March finish. It is a BOM from 2010 at my LQS. It was a fun project and I enjoyed doing different techniques with the various blocks. I quilted it on my domestic machine.
