Not really. It's kind of an intense process and I need to do something completely different.
Well, actually I am doing another blanket stitch applique quilt, but not a rhapsody. It's just about ready for quilting--a challenge with my West Michigan guild. Got to get it done before Mar. 25 deadline, as we are aiming for entering the challenge in AQS Ultimate Guild Challenge at the Nashville show. Will post it on my profile when I get it finished.Happy Quilting,

Elsie, your Rhaposdy is absolutely gorgeous, great colors. I'm inspired to try one now (yes Ricky, your videos have inspired me also). I'm really looking into quilting my own quilts, but will only be doing the smaller ones for now until I figure out a way to handle all that fabric in a queen size quilt on a domestic machine. But it gives me something to strive for on my Nina with BSR. Rena

Rena, I handle a king size quilt on my home machine by leaving the borders off until the middle part of the quilt is free-motion quilted. Then I seam the top border to the top, the backing border to the back, and lay the batting between the two, bumping it against the batting in the already quilted part. (I leave about four inches of the original sandwich unquilted in order to do this). Then I pin the borders layers together and proceed to quilt. This way you only have a small portion to go under the throat of your machine, and not half of the king size quilt. Hope this helps!

Just found out I got a 1st place in our Arizona Quilt Guild State Show with my "Blue Hawaii Rhapsody" and an honorable mention for the "Woodland Floral" . Both are posted on my profile. Thanks Ricky for your seminar and design class in Phoenix, AZ.
The Blue Hawaii Rhapsody will also be in Ricky's second supplement to his Rhapsody Quilts book. Can't wait for your seminar in Phoenix in December...So far have sent in a group of about 20 people under my name and we are all looking forward to it.
