Hi Robin, I love your Rhapsody. It's amazing how so many colors look great together. I would never have used the dark red and salmon orange fabrics in mine, but I just liked them, and once I added the applique, it worked. I'm really liking the ones like yours with the white or beige sections in it. Can't wait to see more applique pieces. Have fun!

Now I have to get my rhapsody pieces cut out and I'll post a picture of it on my new wall.

I keep walking around my entire house looking for a wall to put a design wall on. Either it's not enough wall space or it's not in an area where I can step back.
I'm just going to have to break down and build a movable one.

I know what you mean Eileen. My house is relatively small, and every wall in my house either has a big window in it or a large peice of furnature in the way. Right now my "design wall" is an old mattress leaning against the wall in my workroom, although I will be loosing that soon as we are getting ready to set the back bedroom up again  And before anyone says it I cannot put a design wall up where the mattress was - there is a giant window right there that I have really missed shedding its light on the room.

My Design wall is leaning in front of a wardrobe which mostly houses out-of-season bedding, so it doesn't need frequent access. The plus side of this is that the design wall is about twice as wide as the furniture, so there's also space behind the wall to hide all kinds of stuff

My design wall hangs from the ceiling and slides back and forth. It also protects my stash from light.

It's in Ricky's Rhapsody book. I made one of these too and it's perfect for my limited (huge understatement!) space.

No matter how much (or little) space we have to work in, we should refer to it as a "STUDIO". It's that important!

I have been working on my Rhapsody. I can't believe this, I had a specific design in mind. The whole quilt was created in my mind down to the smallest detail. Then I put the design on my design wall. It yelled at me, NO I am not that quilt. I want to be something else. I have since recreated another skeleton, but I can't move on until this other quilt is done talking to me.

Have you had a rhapsody that decided to be something other than you planned for it to be?
