Grete, your rhapsody is really spectacular. It must have taken forever for you to blanket stitch around all the curves in your applique. It is truly amazing. :!: :!:

I submitted my Rhapsody quilt "Twist" to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival,, and couldn't wait any longer for the quilt to come home to see if it won anything, so I went to their website, and discovered that it won third place! Makes my day!!!!
You can see a picture of it in my profile on the second line.
Thanks Ricky for starting this thread.

Congratulations, Elsie! I have been an admirer of yours since I started quilting several years ago - Your name seems to come up often in lists of winners.
"Twist" is beautifully detailed - I love the feathered quilting. I will be quilting feathers for the first time when I finally get my rhapsody quilt done - I'm feeling both intimidated and confident at the same time. I will be sure to practice a lot on scraps before I ever go near the quilt.

Wow Elsie - all your quilts are beautiful! Twist is especially gorgeous - love the colors and applique.
I wasn't originally planning to make a Rhapsody quilt, but got the bug reading this thread and looking at all the pretty colors... I just got Ricky's book yesterday and can't wait to get started. I already have ideas for 3 'themes' - I may have to work in miniature to make them all before I die

I'm on a suprise trip to Lancaster and of course stopped in a quilt shop today and found Ricky's Rhapsody book!!! I am so amped to get started, lol. The last few days have been a blast, especially since my oldest daughter has discovered she likes to sew yo-yos (thank you Gizmo Girl, lol  ) Today we started in Stausburg at the train shop and all she kept asking was "when can we go to a quilt shop so I can get fabric for my yo-yos?" I have created a fabric monster
