Thanks for the kind words, Lizards. I had a lot of fun making the doodle mug rugs, playing with the toys.

Really beautiful, Sue--I love your choice of quilting, the feathers are so perfect, and I too am enchanted by the color choices!

Rosemary knows I received her beautiful mug rug two weeks ago, but I just did not have the time to spend on the Forum so it is only now that I get to share it with you. Rosemary has read me like a book and chose so many features in this little mug rug that truly speak to me. The theme, a beautiful lotus flower in fantastic hand-dyed colors against a perfect white background; the sashiko hand-stitching adds airiness to the whole; and then, embroidered by hand, I thought I saw my cat traipsing through it all! Yes, and mine has coffee stained backing as well (but I would have used this lovely muggie even without the coffee cup markings to encourage me! In fact, I used it as soon as it came out of the envelope!). Thank you again, Rosemary, for such a lovely piece I am totally enjoying!

That was one of the first I started, before I went off onto the horses, but it kept arguing with me  - 'I'm not finished yet!' So I kept putting it to one side to contemplate what else might go on. The small embroidery was actually meant to be the Uffington White Horse, but viewing it again, I can see that it does look a bit catlike  Just glad to have finished arguing with it  :silly:
