This absolutely amazing piece of art was in my mailbox last night from the master of teeny tiny quilted feathers!! Nancy, I still can't stop giggling! It is fantastic and will reside directly over my sewing machine as an inspiration piece!! I tried to take a picture of the back with a stiletto as reference, but the point covered too many of the little quilting stitches! I am in awe~ Frieda Anderson would be so very impressed with what you did with her hand dyed silk! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Nancy, another beautiful work of art--you have such a wonderful sense of color, delicacy and power in the pieces you make. Enjoy such a marvelous muggie in your quilting room, Charae!

I'm glad you like it, Charae! I was really pleased with how it turned out. And the silk quilts up beautifully. I'll definitely be getting more at Houston!

Nancy your work is exquisite. I am still so terrible at FMQ but then I haven't had time to practice and I know that is what you are supposed to do - one day after the LLQS I am going to sit at my machine and practice, practice, practice inbetween sitting in the sun, reading and relaxing

The biggest key is definitely practice! But I can't practice on sample sandwiches and then throw them away, so my other key is to let myself try things right on my quilts and not stress over the imperfections. My motto is "if it holds the layers together, then it's good quilting."
