Susan what a lovely mug rug from Wendy.
Now it's time to show you what I got from Rita.
First a little teaser to show the beautiful card she made. Rita, thank you for the little calendar. Love the photos.

Next see the wonderful eagle. Rita, you just use those Pitt pens in a fantastic way. He is gorgeous.

and last: look at the back. Thank you so much, Rita

Remember this? Well, here is my latest mug rug , rather, Rugs !  :lol:Originally posted by LorchenMarilyn, you definitely deserve a star or two. I have an almost orphaned wonky one that needs a home and could be used as a mug rug. How about it? If you want to give the little guy a loving home you'll have to email me your address.
A pair of wonky stars along with a great tote and a guild pin and a card with Lorchens'
lovely works of quilting art !! Love 'em !! Thanks so much !!

I am so glad you like your mug rug Norma.
I found him in the Book of Kells and thought he would look good on a mug rug. The card was inspired by the fuchsia which is in bloom all along the hedgerows here along with the montbretia - so beautiful. My internet is so poor where I have been all this week that I have hardly been able to access the forum at all so I have not had a chance to look at your tutorial but I will next week.
Marilyn, what beautiful stars you got from Lorchen, and goodies too!
Wendy, that's a fabulous mug rug you made for Susan.

Vicki, I'm glad you like the fabric on the back. It's a 'rescue' one. I was at a workshop last year and somebody with more money than sense was going to toss it in the bin. I 'adopted' the piece and was very pleased when I found a home for it.
The unique fabric is the dark blue one on the front because I marbled that myself. Not sure what my grandmother would have said if she found out that I cut up one of her tablecloths for the marbling session. But I know she would very much approve of any needlework I do because she taught me.

Lorchen, yes the fabric on the back is a great find. Their loss my gain. As for your stiching, it is beautiful. I do not do much by hand my embroidery is by machine. And, the blue fabric on the front. I think your grandmother would be very proud of they way you showcased her tablecloth. It gives me ideas for all the old linen I have and don't know what to do with it. Thank you for letting me keep the second muggie!Originally posted by LorchenVicki, I'm glad you like the fabric on the back. It's a 'rescue' one.
