Terrie I think your 6 year old is showing great promise if he liked Picasso - I am a big fan. As for the nekked man - he is art after all and I am inclined to be of the opinion that those grand kids will have seen much more explicit images than that if they have access to TV and the internet.

Certainly far more than most of us writing here did !!

There was an exhibit in Toronto last year of Picasso, and I loved it! Then saw Van Gogh here in Montreal. My grandchildren love art. The one I told you about keeps a sketch book, and he can tell you all about each drawing and each detail, going back 3-4 years (he's now 7). At the turn of one page he declared: "THIS is when I became an artist. They ones before were just practice!" Awesome!

It's interesting when we realize that ' I am a quilter!" Not just practising. Although we learn new things each day.

Dibs on any of those fabulous artsy pieces, rosemary... Any you don't find a suitable home for? I'm here!!!
If any questions come upon seeing the giant on a MugRug... Just go to the pc and show those inquisitive and learned kids the real thing, history lesson, art and fun all in one. I know my young nieces would love to learn more about those and after a snicker would be much more fascinated by the uffington white horse.

Thanks Jane. Got 2 more chemos, May 31 and the grand finale June 14 - my birthday!!! And my Mom will be coming from Mexico for the last chemo also, haven't seen her in four years. She'll stay until the end of July to help out while I have surgery about 3 weeks after last chemo (first or second week in July). One of my sisters will be coming too from July 9-31.

Glad to hear that your Mom & sister will be able to visit with you this summer - just don't start panicking & trying to scrub the house out before they arrive.... jus' sayin' Hope your fingers are starting to feel better too, you're getting there, and we are all right behind you.

(are you after a Cerne Abbas giant too, when we get to swap or should I come up with something else  )

My fingers are slightly worst after last chemo, hopefully they won't get to the point I can't use them with the next 2 chemos. So, as much as I would like to   (can you see my nose growing?) I don't see much scrubbing the house clean in my future .

Honestly, the lengths some people will go to to not do housework! Seriously though Limbania, this must be so hard for you and you are so brave. It will be time for a visit from the TQS Express/Jet set again I think.

Marilyn, glad to see the fishes haven't swam away yet! Would you like a slice of tea brack with it too?
