A teal is a type of duck, so I would call them teal pate (with the feathers on! :lol: ) and hopefully we will get some toast or biscuits ( brown) to put it on. As it is, I reckon with all the oranges it will have to be 'Duck a la Orange'. As it is, with all these oranges that are getting mentioned I keep thinking about marmalade :lol: [/quote]
And it's the right time of year to be thinking of marmalade as the Seville oranges are in store at the moment! I am really loving all the names people are coming up with. I am so looking forward to getting my batch in the post. Rita.
Terrie, Tonka is so cute!

First Arrival at Headquarters!
Gold Star goes to Rita, actually they arrived on Saturday and sat in the porch, because we didn't look out the front door
ops: At least I know they were perfectly safe there, because only the postman finds our front door :wink: ( and they are even prettier in real life - another reason to prefer getting to a lqs
Further news - Number crunching from Headquarters.
Although there are a total of 123 places between the 3 groups, because 25 of us have signed up for 2 sets, that makes a total of 98 members, of which
UK = 4
Eire = 1
Netherlands = 1
Switzerland = 1
Canada = 4
Australia = 3
Tasmania = 1
America = 83
I am also please to be able to say that the non-americans are spread across the 3 groups so we will all have a slight mix of countries.

We don't have post on a saturday! Glad they arrived safely. As you will be aware by now Rosemary I had my package posted before you let us know what kind of fabrics you and Lorna would like for your fat quarters so hopefully variety is good too! I am now really looking forward to receiving my Wot Rott friendship spools.

I'm a tad jealous that my reels will be traveling to the UK...and I've never been!
Maybe someday, sigh!
Came across this website...fun designs, maybe a bit pricey, but perfect for our reels!

The little stitches designs are brillant - unfortunately my machine is not that clever, perhaps I had better go and try some doodling instead.Originally posted by romira
