    Dear SOTT’S;

    I have finally completed my medallion friendship quilt with the exchange triangles. I have learned so much & if I did it over again I would do it differently. I learned the hard way after spending days designing a section & then having to remove it from the bed for a house showing. A design wall is definitely the way to go! I finally got one & wished I had it from the start. I also learned that I should have taken photos along the way to judge “values” of how a fabric would appear. It has been the most difficult quilt I have ever made & never would have even attempted it without all of you sisters. Thank you all so much for your support, encouragement & enthusiasm to expand my quilting skills to another level. Love your Quilting Sister, Barbara from Bluffton, SC

    P.S. Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving & I am now onto layering my quilt & quilting my top. YeeHa !! :lol:

                    What is the real deadline for the quilt? How do we send in photos? I can't find the notice about the extension and sending photos. It will be written down this time.

                        Good Afternoon Everyone. I am waiting for my flight back home from Houston and had a little time to send a note. It sounds like a number of you are working really hard to get your HST exchange and Strip Exchange projects done. Well, I have some very good news for those of you that are afraid that you may not make the Jan. 1, 2012 deadline. IT HAS BEEN EXTENDED. Yes, that is correct. The deadline has been adjusted and the new revised date in May 1, 2012. So relax and take a deep breath. You will get them finished and you can still have them included in the S.O.S. HST/Strippers Keepsake book/DVD.

                        There were be an official announcement coming shortly on the Daily Blog and in the newsletter.

                            I am SO excited that the deadline has been extended which means I'll be able to include my two quilts. I have the top finished for the "regular" hsts and am working feverishly on the batik hsts. It has been so much fun, and I'm so happy that I was able to be a part of this experience. Who knows - maybe I can even get something made from my strips. Warm regards to everyone.

                              Thanks for extending the date - with getting quilts done for gifts, etc. I probably would not have gotten my batik strip quilt done. No problem now

                                I'm so glad the deadline has been extended!! I have my quilt top done, but have not been able to get it quilted & bound. Can't wait to see all of the quilts.
