I did post a photo on my profile page, so if anyone wants to see it, there it is! It's the one called "Little House in the Big Woods."

I notice that the special page for HST quilts closed submissions on the 17th? :<(

Jan, I have to agree with all the other compliments. Your quilt is really pretty and looks perfect on that bed. Well done.

Another great finish I hope you don't mind if I 'borrow' your tree pattern sometime in my future, as I have a fancy to make a trees quilt.

I wish there would be another exchange, though the people who made it possible might not want a repeat, it must have been monumental. These SOTT quilts are my favorite. They are so beautiful.

I agree! I was thinking a round robin type of project would be fun.....but it would have to be much, much smaller groups. And I am always hesitant to accept challenges like that due to my work schedule being so sporadic.

Hi, Kalynn, how does a round robin work?

              Comment

Well, I've never been involved in one, but from what I have gathered from reading the blogs of others who have taken part, a small group of quilters agree on some basics and then it starts with a center block. Each quilter makes a center block. Then the block is passed to the next person for a border of sorts, and so on, until it has gone to each quilter, and then it goes back to the original quilter. I'll see if I can get more info sometime.

Hmm. How do you end up with many quilts? That sounds interesting though.

I made one small quilt for my sister from our exchange. I still have some HST's I sorted into color schemes. I was going to use them in a patriotic quilt in one case. And I made a small quilt top from just batiks, but it was wonky. It needs to be ripped out and squared up. It's a UFO right now. All these quilts have been so inspiring it makes me want to make more HST's from my stash and make a decent one.

                    Jan,
Great job on your HST quilt, another favorite. All your quilts on your profile are wonderful.
                    Thanks for sharing.

Jan, you end up with as many quilts as you have quilters because each quilter makes a center block and passes it on to the next quilter for the next border. When it has gone through the whole group it goes back to the maker of the original center block. After thinking more about this though, I'm thinking it would get too expensive with shipping it around so much. Guess it would work better in a local guild small group. I have yet to join a guild. Every time I plan to go check one out something comes up.
If that explanation doesn't make sense you might want to just google round robin quilts.
