Hi, I just got home a few minutes ago. Tough day and so glad it is Friday. Worked on a dog that had been abandoned and was found roaming the streets. Older, female, long=haired Chihuahua. Baddly negelected. Got her looking and feeling better. One of the girls from the Humane Society came into see how she was doing late this afternoon and did not realize it was the same dog. She is going to make a nice pet for someone. She is all cleaned, shampooed, and looking very pretty. Even has pearly white teeth now.

Okay, now back to the question... I would not get to worried about the megapixels so much. I am more looking for a very nice quality photo that captures the beauty of your SOS project. I just used the mega pixels as guidelines so it would help with getting good quality photos of your project. Just make sure it is good focus, clear, and colors are a close representation to the real thing. It may be the software you are using on the computer is altering the size of the photo. I you want you can just attach the photo to an email and send to me and I can take a look at it. So far I have been getting wonderful photos. You are all doing a super job!!!!!

I hope that helps. I am sorry I could not respond any soon then now. Thank you so much Margo for helping me. You are an angel!!!! And Ritzy too.

Oh, I forgot to mention... I am so impressed by the talent of everyone working on the HST projects. It just is amazing all the wonderful things everyone is making. I just get so excited everytime I see an email with your beautiful work. We are going to have a lovely keepsake to share with each other for years and years to come. It is amazing how one little HST can start wonderful friendships to grow and develop. We all have a little piece of each other which we will hold very dear to our hearts. To me this is so much more then just making a quilt. We are inspiring each other to try new things, to grow and develop, to share and have fun.

Take care everyone and happy sewing this weekend!!!!

        Hugs, Carol

Peg and Barb, what beautiful quilts! I love the red with the HST's -- so pretty. Barb, I'm working on a (different) tree design too -- I have all my blocks made, and now I'm putting them together with sashing. It's turned into a big quilt. Will post a photo when it's assembled.

I am so looking forward to seeing what everyone makes from these HST's -- I hope many, many of us will participate in the SOS book project.

My quilt top is finished. I'm not good at working an hour here or there so in addition to the early mornings I also worked on it most of 3 days this past week. I just like to get things done. Now I need to make an appointment with my longarm quilter and hope she can work some magic with the quilting. I'm thinking maybe flowers in the light setting triangles and a design in the dark setting triangles to make them look like baskets of flowers and possibly some type of ribbon in the border. I'm not sure what to quilt in the blocks. Maybe something circular. My tentative name is Wrapped in Friendship. So far I've found everything I need in my stash including the backing fabric. Do we have to have a photo of the label for the prototype? I don't normally do those until the quilt is completed.

I love it! The addition of the light/dark big triangles really made it striking.

Annis, it will be OK to send your label photo to Carol when you send the final photo of the quilting.

The lighter fabric makes the HST setting blocks look great!

I really like your quilting ideas for the light and dark setting triangles. 8) It is inspirational to see everyone's quilts and how different all of them are from each other. What a fabulous assortment of ideas, colors, and remembrances. Thanx to everyone for sharing your special quilts here!

TQS member Shirley35 is having difficulty posting photos but was able to e-mail me this one:

She says that: My quilt is 59” square, golden triangles in center and all out of US in the corners. My title is Different Corners of the World.

Shirley, it's wonderful. I love the additional small borders too.

Am I the only one that still is amazed at how wonderful all the quilts look with their rainbow of different colors/hues. I'm so glad that TQS exposed us to Edyta and her Laundry Basket!
