Yes Ritzy, I am all purpled out too now, though I still have my purple mobile (cell phone to you lot over there), it won't die.
Purple was THE colour coming up to my 60th, that's all over now a couple of years ago.
The first lady to receive a quilt in Brisbane is to have first choice and I believe she has chosen the purple one as it was her that got me going on this project in the first place.
Cheers,

Carol, I love your idea about creating a special book of our SoTTT journey, and I would love to be a part of it when I have some photos to share with you. Fabulous idea, Carol! :lol:Originally posted by PosyPThis sounds like a great idea - will you be including resumes of Chapters 1,2 & 3 in it as well? and have you considered 'Print-on-Demand' book printing? Gregory Case recommended http://www.lulu.com in series 6, but personally I am currently working with http://www.blurb.com which I find easier, because they give you page templates and design setup alternatives to place your writing/pictures into, whereas Lulu just gives you a page sized template to be designed entirely by yourself.Originally posted by CMOELLERSI have a special request. I would like pictures of your completed quilts. I am working on a special book. I want to preserve this special story. It is a wonderful journey that needs to be recorded. I am going to make a S.O.S. (Save are Stories) book. This Sisterhood/Brotherhood is absolutely amazing!!!! I would really appreciate it if you would send me a picture of your quilt and a little write up about it. Indicate if it is an original design or from a traditional pattern. Tell why you choose the pattern. And include any special story you want to tell about your quilt. I just love stories about quilts and it is so fun to share them with others!!!! I will compile all of them and anyone that would like a copy I would love to send one to you when it is finished. This little HST is so much more then two pieces for fabric sewn together. Anyone that would like to participate please let me know. My email address is mailto:[email protected]. Thank you all so very much!!!!
And Rosemary, a million thank you's for sharing the "blurb link" above with us! I just signed up to receive their emails and can't wait to learn how to do my own book. Way to go, Rosemary!
Every time I check in to this wonderful Forum, I learn so many fabulous new things...I just love it all!

I love this idea, Carol, and I can't wait to see what you come up with! If you need any additional information from me, please don't hesitate to let me know. I have quite a few photos of the beginning of the process and a few on sorting day and I know that Clara has a lot of photos, too. Most the photos were also used in the TQS Slide Show.
I still haven't started by quilt yet  . It took me a long time to figure out what I was going to make and now I just need to get started!

Debbie, I would love your pictures!!!! I also would like you and Clara to write down your story telling us about your SoTTT adventures from the very beginning, to the day when all those little HST were all mail to their new homes. There is going to be an announcement made in this coming TQS Newletter and in the Daily Blog announcing this special S.O.S documentary project. I am so excited to start working on it!!!!! It would not be complete with out your wonderful quilt and your story. You two planted the seed, it started to grow and now it is blooming and producing beautiful fruit. It is time to enjoy all this and have lots of fun!!!!Originally posted by NaneeWolfOriginally posted by CMOELLERSI have a special request. I would like pictures of your completed quilts. Hi Paula, I just wanted to let you know that TQS is going to assist me with getting the word out. An announcement is coming next Tuesday in the TQS Newsletter and on the Daily Blog on this special S.O.S (Save Our Story) of the SoTTT and the Batik Exchanges. I have been very touched by all the wonderful HST and all the love that went into making them. I am so glad to hear you have your top almost done. I am still working on mine. All of thoses little triangles are so special, It is so much more than fabric and thread. I can't wait to start getting in the stories and the projects of what everyone has done with them. It is a common bond which we all share now with each other. Our love of quilting has turned into a wonderful friendship as we share our quilts and tell the story to other quilters. I am so glad to be in your quilt and I am so happy you are in mine. Take care and looking forward to receiving your story and pictures!!!!Originally posted by ladyzCarol, I would be happy to be a part of your book. My quilt is pieced and was posted on finished projects. I am waiting for the longarm quilter now. When I get it back I will email you a picture and a writeup. You are in my quilt.

Ritzy, you will have plenty of time to get it done. The final deadline is not until Jan. 1, 2012 to have everyone submit their stories and project pictures. An announcement will be coming out in the TQS Newlettter and the Daily Blog. I am so excited!!!! I have been working with Lilo and TQS this going to help me get the word out. I want to get as many S.O.S. (Save Our Story) of the SoTTT and Batik Exchanges as possible. I hope this will be a book we will all enjoy reading and sharing with one another. It is so amazing to me what is happening with these HSTs. Our little HSTs have traveled far and wide and have touch so many hearts. I am so glad you are in mine quilt and I am in yours. Take care my friend and hope to see you again at one of the shows!!!!Originally posted by ritzyLouise--I am not a purple girl but I love the pattern of that purple quilt.
Carol--I don't have mine done but when I do I will send you a picture.
