[quote="idaho"]I've been happily sorting and cataloging all my HSTs...enjoying all the fabrics and combos and looking up where
sisters live . And after all...I have one signature I can't identify....town?state?country?..I've even checked
against the participant list and I still can't figure it out. Prob'ly a simple thing....so if you know what
it says..picture below...Please post . I'd love to know !
I had some of those too. I thought maybe it was a foreign country. After googling Guilderland, I came up with the state of New York.

Did you check the event listings?? Thursday evening is the Quiltpalooza with Ami Sims. Would like to attend that, but don't want to miss out on TQS get-together.Originally posted by sforster395Clara, I heard that TQS is making a reservation for dinner at a local restaurant near the Convention Center on Thursday night (probably about 7 pm after the show closes?).

Oh boy, this is getting better by the minute! I too have one of those HSTs with Guilderland, NY? on it. I checked Wikipedia and found the same info JoJo found, so it is a real place! The last two letters after Guilderland are what is causing the confusion for me. Me thinks somebody is playing with our SoTTT minds!   A "mystery HST"! 8)Originally posted by idahoI've been happily sorting and cataloging all my HSTs...enjoying all the fabrics and combos and looking up where

Roseanne, check out the thread "Houston Quilt Fest 2011-TQS Dinner" and look at Wanda's first post on page 1. All the info about the dinner and making a reservation is there.Originally posted by romiraDid you check the event listings?? Thursday evening is the Quiltpalooza with Ami Sims. Hello dear Sisters!
It sure has been quiet around here - the forum- in the past few days. Well, I decided to share some good news with y'all. I'm going to be a gramma again, This will be #4! Did I tell you that I have four -(4) sons, and three-(3) grandsons. The paternal great grandmother has 14 grandchildren of whom ONE is a granddaughter, so the odds are not in favour of having a granddaughter. However, I do believe in miracles. I just hope to get a chance to do a little girl quilt someday! The present grandsons want to call their new baby 'Bob the Builder' or 'Thomas', or as the 5-year-old suggested "Maybe Momma will 'lay' a girl! (yes, they have chickens in the backyard)! Too cute!
I have been away for a week, and now back to finishing that HST top.
Have a wonderful week!
Terrie

Congratulations, Terrie! And if it's another boy..... I just love little lads. I prefer trains and tractors to barbie dolls.
There is a boy in my school who is the youngest of 11 brothers. His oldest brothers son is in the same year group. I have super memories of these lads. They are all very cheeky, a lot of fun, and they all look alike.

I will pray for a daughter for you, I have only 1 son who I love dearly and he was a joy to rear but a daughter would have been a blessing but we didn't get any more, my son and his future wife have promised me granddaughters to spoil, lol........I am a very clucky grandmother.
Regarding our quilts project, another half finished quilt has been donated to us so that will make a round 20.
The Cairns City Council has offered for us to display the quilts in the foyer so we will be setting them up on Friday, will take picture to send.
Cheers,
