Woohoo!!! They are here!! Wow they are gorgeous. Not much sorting yet but I am loving the first look. All USA and Australia. Can't wait to really sort and view on Saturday. The whole day is planned!
I suspect Sunday will be spent finishing the scrap quilt so the design wall is free for triangles. Lol.

I have been playing with my hst's for couple of days, and now I have two blocks finished. It is so much fun, I would like to stay in my sewing room all day! I counted hst's and I have 252 just like it was supposed to be, plus golden tickets. None of them were mine
. There are 42 US states and 1 from Canada. 118 individual sott members, so there are few duplicates. Luckily there are different fabric combinations from same person, so there were not so many excactly same. I am so eager to sew everything together, I think I don't have time to trade duplicates... Thank you all Sott members, you made beautiful hst's! (Now I have to catch up reading this forum, there are many pages.)

I like the "before" and "after" tree blocks! It's fun to see how all the individual HST's come together to create a beautiful "worldly" tree! I like your block too. I love all my hsts, got 560 and only had about 4 that where dup material. Several from the same person but hts where from different material..I was very pleased and lucky. Everyone is special....still playing with them...Originally posted by KatiezquiltzI like your block. I'm like you I'm keeping my lovely dups. I got them because God's plan is that they will all work perfectly.

I received 4 exact HSTs from the same person, and as it turns out, they are going to be in the center of my Medallion quilt! So, sometimes it's worth keeping what we get (God's plan) _ When I have time, I'll try to post what's on my design wall so far and get a fancy signature. So many HSTs, so much fabric, so little time!

Hi Mimuscraft,
I really have been leaning towards doing the Tree with my hst's and your tree may have just been the one to help me decide. I am still in the process of documenting them clipping ears and removing paper and probably won't get to assemble any until after June 10th.
Thanks for sharing both the layout and finished block.

Maryjo, I am with you. Origninally, I was thinking the the tree of life was so fitting for the spirit of the exchange. Now that I see Mimuscraft's blocks I am even more convinced. I have to figure out how to add my own uniqueness to Edyta's design. Problem is there doesn't seem to be a way to make it better than it is. Struggling for finding what I want for the background. Maybe the design needs some bee's. They are communal in nature and so are we. I'll have to think about it. Lois Bruno, PA

How fun this is, I have one of yours and you have one of mine! That is for sure because I am only one from Finland.Originally posted by sugarmuffin57Hi Mimuscraft,
I see one of mine in there! I have one from Finland. I bet it is yours. I am going to check.
I love have you made your block using the small blocks.
Karen
And thank you all for your nice comments! I have made one block more today, this project is going well. Though in the weekend I have to concentrate to birthday party: my DS is having his 6th birthday. He wishes to have chocolate cake, and that is what I am going to make for him.

I have an idea for the 2012 BOM ... wait for it ... how about a center medallion or panel that incorporates hsts and ... we could do another swap! Rules being that you can only submit enough to make the pattern (and maybe a boarder?!)
Sounded good at midnight last night right before I fell asleep.
