Oh Nancy! I love what you've done so far! Thanks for the links!Originally posted by FluffBallQuiltsHi all,
I posted a picture of Ladies of the Sisterhood of the Travling Triangles quilt... so far. Just two rows.

I hope this works, it is the first time I tried it and after printing off Margo's directions, of course I couldn't find them.

If you want to just post photos directly in your forum post you will find directions here: http://forum/forum-questions-and-sug...-the-tqs-forum

But I will remember all the love sent along with each hst and all of our messages. This will be a very special quilt to me!!
I'm with you, Paula! I admire those with the patience to assemble all the documentation, but I've been too bizzy sewing blocks together!! I know that I will feel totally wrapped in love when my quilt is finished!

DElizabeth;
I am so glad you HST’s finally came :lol: :lol: Now you can revel in the long traveling HST’s that you have long awaited !! :lol: :lol: They were worth waiting for, weren’t they?? :lol: :lol: Little jewels, aren’t they?? :lol: :lol: Thanks again, Debbie, Clare & Margo!!
You’re the best- Preeminent-greatest-wait a minute, I’ll bet you’ve heard all that!
But what I’ll bet you haven’t hear is the Mocking Bird out my window imitating my neighbors telephone ring! I wish I could record it for you to hear! It is unreal! Of course she is at work and doesn’t hear it, she leaves her phone outside so much the Mockingbird has picked up her telephone ring to a TEE! I mean to tell ya, they don’t call them “mocking” birds for nothing. Arg-g-g-g. . .someone pick up that mocking bird and make him stop ringing. . . ringing. . ringing. . .I am going to have to play recordings of bird songs now outdoors just for the mocking bird so he can pick up some new tunes, think he like Frank Sinatra? I have to do something to get that telephone ring out of his repertoire!! The next thing you know he’ll be singing car alarms!!!
P.S. Hanne Grete-I am so glad we could bring a little joy into your difficult year

Is that why 'To Kill a Mocking Bird' was written? :roll:Originally posted by RiverOwlDElizabeth;

I had to suffer my way through it as one of the set books for CSE English Literature :evil: (exam level taken at the age of 16, but it has all been changed now)
That reminds me about some friends of my sister's who got a parrot, shortly afterwards the whole family went down with a cold and cough, soon after that the parrot was coughing along with the best of them! and ever after if you said 'that's an nasty cough' to him he would cough especially for you :lol:

Be Still My Heart!! :lol: :lol: :lol: They are here! I am in the process of unpacking them and placing them in piles according to states and countries. Began that process about two hours ago, I love seeing names that I recognize! They are all perfect! This is going to take a while! a BIG hug and thank you to all the people who helped make this day so brilliant (outside, it's raining) I'm taken photos of the process. I haven't counted yet, but see that there is a toss up between California and Texas as to which state I have more from. Thank you, Thank You! Thank you!

Doing the Happy Dance! My HST's are wonderful!!! I didn't sort them but I looked at where they came from.....All of mine are from the USA. There should be 615 of them and 59 aren't signed...so I'm going to put names on them from 'International' members. I'm from Canada, so that makes me international as well. I didn't recieve any of mine back either.
Crocus999 enjoy your triangles and Lottie, run don't walk to the post office tomorrow. I'll be putting your name on one of my triangles that has no name on it.
Ladies, A great big 'Thank you' for the sorting. I'll start sorting when I get home tonight.
Well, now I have to get ready for a Mess Dinner tonight. The dinner is for my Air Cadet Squadron. ......DoreenLotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland

Hello Doreen
i'll be taking the bicycle - much faster - and no time wasted in parking as i can just leave it next to the door (not really the done thing - but - times are hard)
send me an e-mail with your address and i'll make sure you get an hst or two from me
gotta make sure a fellow canadian is fully decked out (am a dual - born in switzerland - moved to canada when i was 11 - back to switzerland about 12 years later for a shortish stay and sort of got stuck... but try to be "home" (pike river, que - some of those hst's and batik strips were made during my recent trip to my parents) to see family and friends once a year
lots of smilesLotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland

You know the crying when your face turns into something from a horrormovie?!! I recieved LOTS of HSTs today. I do not know where to begin to say thank you to all of you as I am still kind of dizzy after participating in "the horrormovie". And i LOVE LOVE the special notes some of you made for me!
Luckily the "flooding chapter" is over :wink: I have not bought any new fabric, but I have bought a few books and a new camera with 2 extra lences. You might know the start of this year has not been good, the flooding was just a start. My dad had his kidney removed due to cancer, but he is doing real good. No additional treatment needed. My sister had surgery yesterday, she has cancer too, but it was reconized in a very early stage so the DRs says she will be just fine. And I, I had my 2nd surgery in 6 weeks on Thursday. Apart from all this life is just wonderful
I decided after all these events, this is the time in life to be real nice to myself. If I do not take care of me and make myself happy no one will (except from a lot of wonderful TQS-friends), so yesterday I made a 20 year old dream come true: I ordered a longarm 8) :wink: :lol: I know now I will need it as those HSTs will make a BIG quilt
I am also doing the final arrangements for my 4 weeks celebration of myself this fall: Visiting with wonderful friends met trough TQS, takeing quiltclasses and going to Houston.
Thank you again, all of you
If someone would be so nice to send me a message telling me how to put pictures in the blog I will smile even wider than I am now.
Hanne-Grete...I am so glad you've already received your package and I know we are all forward to seeing pictures.
You know that we'll all be sending prayers and love for your Dad, your sister and you too!
Nothing to make you feel better than a new longarm...congratulations on making that huge jump. Maybe we should all start sending quilts to Norway so you can quilt them for us :lol: . I'll be anxious to meet you this fall, too.
Hugs and love to you!
