Cath, I just looked at your profile, not that I should be surprised but I'd never heard of "Virginia" in Australia! my BIL is from southeast of Melbourne so I'm a bit familiar with Victoria but not much more. So we can be "Virginia" sisters maybe!! Did you mark your HST's? I'll go back & look, I know I got several from OZ!This made me smile.. I was looking through my many magazines today for a quilt pattern for some hand applique.. going to be away from my sewing machine soon... and had just seen this very page in the magazine.. It is one of my favourites and absolutely love your purples!!
Must go now & work on the layout, I realized I'll be at a conference for 3 days next week and my Featherweight is just dying to go with me, HST blocks would be a perfect travel project!

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM and I'm appealing to all of our Sisterhood members who received a lot of extra HST's to help! One of our members, JUANITAB, was supposed to have had 617 HSTs returned to her, but her return envelope only contained 216
.
Since we had no extras, neither Clara nor I received as many as we turned in. I only got 300 and I told Juanita I would send her those, but I've already taken the papers off and pressed them open, so I don't know if they will mean that much to her like that. If you have a few extras, especially some that you received duplicates of, please contact her and she can send you her address.
I'm confident that between all of us, we should be able to get close to what she's missing.
Thank you so much!

Hopefully it will come this week but I won't be able to acknowledge receipt until Monday or Tuesday. Still smiling

Debbie and I are working on a way to resolve this situation. Hold off quilters on contacting. We might have a remedy!!! I'm in Ontario, Canada and I'm still waiting. Waiting is so hard. It's harder than waiting for Christmas. DoreenOriginally posted by BarbaraAnneOK, I'm still patient and hopeful that my HSTs will arrive but I'm wondering how many of you are also waiting. :?: The last batch was mailed on 4/21 from Texas and I'm in New Mexico. Wouldn't you think I should have them by now :?:

I don't feel so alone now! I sent mine Priority Mail to TX from New Mexico only took 2 days, return package to me was the same. I still think the mailman left them on somebody else's mailbox.Originally posted by BarbaraAnneOK, I'm still patient and hopeful that my HSTs will arrive but I'm wondering how many of you are also waiting. :?: The last batch was mailed on 4/21 from Texas and I'm in New Mexico. Debbie, it's just not right that you and Clara should have to give up your triangles. If enough of us send some you shouldn't have to part your little treats after you did all the work. I haven't counted mine yet but I know I have some duplicates. At any rate if this doesn't get resolved I will happily send Juanita 20 hst's. Please don't give up any more of yours, ladies. You didn't go thru all this just to come out of it with nothing. It just ain't right any way you look at it.

I too have some doubles and even quadruples I am willing to send where ever needed. I'll even make a few more. Neither Debbie nor Clara need to give up one precious hst. They put in too much effort, time and money to create this fantastic exchange for us. Debbie and Clara keep what you have please.

I haven't received mine yet but I made extra and would very happily send those. They can be in the mail tomorrow. Just let me know where to send them. I agree that Debbie and Clara should not have to give up any.Originally posted by thimblequiltOriginally posted by NaneeWolfHOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM and I'm appealing to all of our Sisterhood members who received a lot of extra HST's to help! Someone in Keller,TX made them a double wedding ring quilt and a baby quilt. The article was in the Star-Telegram a few days ago.Originally posted by crocus999Speaking of a Monarchy, is anyone interested in the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton? Any loyalists out there? What would a 'royal' quilt look like? I'd say silk. Wow!
I have extras of the HST's I made that I could send. Just tell me where to send them.
