Thanks, Charlotte. We sincerely appreciate your support and kind words!Originally posted by charlottegaileThanks to all of you sorters for the work you put in. Know it is a big job. I did not think you would get it all done in one day. My Hat is off to you Debbie and Clara for taking on this project. This is what makes it a surprise, the not knowing when you will get your HSTs. You are doing a good job.

Oh my Gosh! The sorting hats are just Awesome! What better way to sort HST's that with HST hats! I can't wait to see pictures of the sorting - I'm sure the pictures can not convey how overwhelming the task you have taken on. It took 3 months for all of the HST's to arrive at your destination so it will take time for them to come back to us! It is definitely worth the wait. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to all who are helping with the sort. We are truly a blessed group of SOTTT's

The hats were a huge hit yesterday. As great as they look in a picture, you have to see them in person to really appreciate the detail. Rosemary even had each member who contributed HSTs to sign their name on the label inside the hat! She thought of everything.
I do have to say, Rosemary, that it looks much cuter on your daughter than it did on me! She is adorable!
And I'm planning on wearing my hat to Quilt Festival this year...so if anyone sees me with it on, please stop and introduce yourself!!

Debbie, Clara and all the rest of the helpers, a very, very mòr (Gaelic for (big/great/large), huge, vast, enormous, gargantuan, humongous, tremendous, massive, gigantic, immense, colossal, monumental, mammoth, Brobdingnagian, thundering, thank you for all you have done to get the HST sorted on the day and the weeks running up to sorting day.
I am sure we will all patiently wait for our packages to arrive in the post and not bother you in any way. They will come when they come.
"Mòran taing." (many thanks)

Thanks also go to....
Maureen Anderson, Nan Tuckerman, Amanda Ashton & Dorothy Midson.
 especially as I asked them to mix up different types of fabric, and to include silks, satins, velvets or whatever they had to hand; personally I added some wool suitings, furnishing fabrics, and sparkly silver that frayed as soon as you looked at it, .... that really made it into an interesting project!
It has been a fun 3 months (except for the last week or two worrying about if my hsts would arrive, and I hope the chat doesn't dry up now this exchange is starting to wind up
Yours in the Cause 8)
Rosemary
PS I suppose I ought to go away and see if I can organise myself a fancy signature now, whilst waiting for the post.

Sorting Day was amazing. I'm so glad I got to be there in person yesterday and meet everyone. Thank you and big hugs to Clara and Debbie for taking on this huge task. Thank you to everyone that helped, even the non-quilters that were there. Big thanks to Debbie's Bee for all of their help and for arranging the location. Thank you to everyone that donated chocolates and funds to cover food and expenses. Rosemary, your Sorting Hats are remarkable. Thank you for giving Clara and Debbie such a nice gift for them to remember this monumental event. Thanks go to Debbie's and Clara's husbands and families for their help and support. Thank you to Edyta for getting us all hooked on HSTs so we could do this crazy exchange! Last but not least, HUGE thanks to Alex and Ricky and TQS. What a tremendous community we have because of you. I am so thankful to be a quilter. I have met such wonderful people over the years and made many friends because of quilting. I don't know of any other hobby that generates such fellowship and generosity. I hope I get to meet many of you from TQS in Houston this November.

What a great time we had yesterday at the famous "sorting" event. I'll just add, You had to laugh to keep from crying when looking at the mounds and mounds of triangles we made as we walked around the tables over and over. You will love your triangles when they arrive because they will bring you lots of joy from all over the world. How cool is that. Clara and Debbie, I do hope you survive and live to laugh about this hilarious event. Yes, it did take a good bit of prayer. Thanks to all the new friends I made yesterday. Sarah
