Looking for quilting ideas to use your HSTs in? Elsie Campbell has a new book! Here is her TQS profile: community/my-profile/LCCampbell
and you can see her on TQS Episode 407
Here is an e-mail I got from her today:
Squares and Triangles book is here! Get your copy now for 20% off during this pre-release sale. I have plenty of books in stock right now, so no waiting for shipment!
Regular price: $19.95
Sale price: $15.96 until May 1, 2011.
I so enjoyed making the quilts that are patterned in the book and I think you will, too. There are so many things I've discovered over the years that makes quilt making quick, easy, and precise from the beginning of the process. I've included in this book some of my techniques for accurate cutting of strips and squares, tips for improving stitching and pressing, one method for fusible appliqué, how I use freezer paper for mitering corners and how I apply bindings completely by machine. The how-to pages are accompanied by more than 60 clear photographs and easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. I included hints for making perfect 4-patch and 9-patch blocks and 3 different ways to make lots of perfect half-square triangle units.
All 13 easy-to-make quilt patterns include color, full-page photographs of each quilt, clear instructions and diagrams. I've also provided a list of resources where you can find the products I suggest in the book.
Thanks for your interest in my work. I think you will have lots of fun making your own versions of these Squares and Triangles quilts.

My web site can be found at: http://elsiemcampbell.com/ Watch for my new scrap quilt book "Square and Triangles" on or about May 1, 2011.
EDITED: Here is a smile box showing the patterns in the book: http://secure.smilebox.com/ecom/openThe ... yback_link
It looks like there are more quilts that use squares, but I like the cover quilt with triangles!

Thanks Margo- Beautiful quilts in Elsie Campbell’s book-
I really wish I could be there for sorting day with all of you! Sounds like fun but I also know you all will be putting in a long day and a lot of hard work too! Bless you all for your dedication to the world of quilting! I am sure you could end up writing a book on “How to do a successful exchange of fabric, blocks, squares, anything you want. . .” after all this with Tips & Tricks. Thanks again! Barbara from Bluffton,SC Soon we will be on to the quilt making ! Yippee!!!

We are keeping the sorting day a secret only because we don't know if we will get them all completed. Which means we will be bringing them home and doing the rest ourselves. Everyone will get their hopes up so fast that theirs will be mailed the day after the sorting day and it could start a national panic. We can't have that. So we have a top secret mission that is only our best sorters will know the secret info. If I tell you more... well you know the old spy saying... Moohahaha
the Sorting Queen
P.S. I will put up pictures as soon as we can and give everyone an update after the even occurs!

I will be doing that when all the packages have been received. I received 20 packages today, but haven't gotten them processed yet.
As of yesterday, we have 502 packages with 201,322 HSTs. Check back tomorrow and I'll provide an update once these 20 are processed.

I had a great  day today!!
I made a new friend, TQS member DKendall. Debbie lives across town (and that's saying a lot when you live in Houston), but she generously offered to come help me do whatever remained to be done with the HST packages. We spent the day putting those precious Golden Tickets (HSTs from Alex, Ricky, Edyta and Margo) into individual baggies to be included with your return packages. Since I had to go through all the packages to remove the HSTs that had been sent individual baggies prior to soring day, I was able to be really  by recycling all those baggies. We put the GTs into the baggies so they would get mixed up with all the others once they are returned (whenever??) and you start digging through them.
