Thanks for posting pictures of strips received already!! I'm in the process of cutting strips so hopefully Monday or Tuesday mine will be at the post office and I will be so ahead of time. Yes I can get something done on time.
Thanks for all the work you are putting in on the exchange!

found a new passion    making small strip squares on-the-go (so not much measurement - lots of crooked lines
ops: but will get better in time - i hope  )
been playing with the bits and pieces that have appeared so far - the possibilities truly are endless:

based on these, have decided to now color-coordinate the squares - have enough color-jumbles - need to tie them all together

Lottie - I love them. So happy and cheerful. For me, I like it when the strips aren't so straight. I think it give the quilt a more scrappy "old quilt" look. I made a G's Bend quilt and I love it. You just gave me a great idea for a easy to make quilt Thanks.

Hi Everyone,
Just an update... Today I opened envelopes from England and Austrailia - what fun!!
I have gotten 119 packages and have 19,287 strips sorted by the main color.
I have 19 emails stored and am waiting for those envelopes to arrive.
April 1st is this Friday which leaves about 30 days to get your strips to me. :!: :!:

Hi Everyone,
Just a Friday update..
I have 125 packages with 20299 strips
I did a bit of fun math -
If we lay the strips end to end, it would extend 6.4 miles (10.3 kilometers)
If we lay the strips side by side, we have 423 yards (387 meters)
Hope my conversions are correct!
Have a great weekend.

Are you concerned about prewashing batiks? I'm a pre-washer and find that batiks often do bleed.

Out of curiosity I soaked some bright yellow batiks. I know it's best to wash in cold water, but used hot
just to see what would happen. Well, lo & behold, check out the color left in the water!
