Jo Jo, your puppy quilt is darling!
I have already posted what I plan to do with my HSTs from the big exchange, and I am still exchanging as we speak!
But, I wanted to show you what I am doing with my Batik exchange HSTs. As I have said before, I cut the HSTs in half and then half again, so I am left with some rather small 1 1/4" HSTs. I did not trim them all to the same size as Annis did. Bad mistake! So, I am now sewing them together and have a lot of "tweeking" to do. The finished triangle is 3/4." (If I'm lucky!) I now a have a greater appreciation for those who make small quilts (without paperpiecing) as I do not think I have one straight seam in my quilt so far. But the points match! I'll have to do some creative quilting, I guess. I'll post a picture of the WIP next week.

Dawn, I love what your doing with your batiks, it looks really great.
I did consider joining in with the 'mini' brigade for the hsts, but instead I'm working a cross stitch pattern up in 1/4" strips for my 'mini' piecing pattern - perhaps we need a thread for the mini piecing brigade :wink:Deborah W

Right from the beginning I wanted to make the Tree of life Wall hanging, so I made up all the other blocks and just waited as patiently as I could  for my HST's to come, after much oohing and aahing, fondling, stroking, pressing, bunny ear nipping i have finally started, everything else is on hold at least till I get the trees done, so here is a sneaky peek at the first 2, I am just loving them

Patti, look really closely! They are not sewn yet! They are just arranged on my cutting table. But, now that I'm sewing it, I am pressing all seams open (but not the actual HST seam). There's a lot of rip and resew going on with this! I feel like a beginning quilter. It has really humbled me!Originally posted by PattiSureDawn, how are you keeping the seams and intersections lying flat? It's looking wonderful BTW

Talk about humbling! This was a winner in Houston last fall. (See other quilts on Sue Garman's blog: http://suegarman.blogspot.com)
If I remember correctly this quilt is about 15" x 15"   and is part of a series by Kumiko Frydl.
