International postage problem -
Is there anyone in the Batik exchange who willing to take a paypal payment to pay for the return postage, the same way that Clara is doing for the Sottt's? The IRC coupon system bumps the price of $13.95 up to $45 from the UK (and that is a lot of fabric money!). Or could/should I enclose a cheque?
Thanks Rosemary

I'm in for "Exchange Batik Strips" or ESB
I find that for some reason, after joining both HST exchanges, I have lots of batiks.
It couldn't possibly be that I went crazy on the http://www.fabric.com sale & spent way too much $$$!!!
OK, my name is Roseanne, & I'm a Fabriholic!

Welcome Sensational Strippers!!! That is the name for our strip exchange
The rules for this exchange are simple as no sewing is involved.
1. The strips must be batik.
2. All strips must be 1 1/4" wide and approximately 22" long. This will allow you to use fat quarters or cut a full width of fabric strip in half. This size will work well with the quilts in Edyta's Friendship Strips and Scraps book.
3. You must sign up by February 21st (I'm am giving plenty of time for all who want to participate to get registered).
4. The strips are due to me by April 30th. I will keep track of everyone who has signed up and let you know when I sort sorting and when the packages are back in the mail.
5. Please put your strips in a zip loc bag with your name and the # of strips you have included. You will get the same amount back
6 Include a self addressed envelope with the same postage on it that you used to send the strips to me.
7. Send me an email and I will send you my address.
Happy Stripping,
Barb in Houston

Count me in on the Sensational Strippers Exchange (what a name!). I just received a red bundle of Edyta's batiks from her website so will be happy to share...
Same goes for the Batiks HST exchange. I found cream batiks from Edyta's Bon Voyage collection at Hancock's of Paducah website - http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/ They should arrive in plenty of time to meet our deadline. Looks like March and April are going to be busy, busy.
Happy Sewing and Stripping!

Thanks for info Ritzy!
From Canada I can send you a US dollar money order for the amount of postage.
Will someone post how much postage is by certain weights from the US to abroad? That way some of us can figure out what to pay since we will know the weight before posting.
Now that I think of it, I'll check out your postal rates online, but am left wondering if it varies from state to state????
cheers and thanks
Jeanine

Not quite sure where to post this comment, but with the HST SOTT exchange, the Batik HST exchange, and now the Stripper's exchange, I think this is going viral. I can easily think of about 12 different possible exchanges RIGHT NOW. (I'm not going to be responsible to mention them, otherwise I might have to, you know,...s-o-r-t!) However, I would help is I was in the area - for sure! In fact, maybe we could make a retreat weekend for all the sorters and bag ladies, and mail people! I can bring baking! I love the sense of enthusiasm, community and encouragement and friendship that is hovering over all this. Can I say this on a public forum...I never thought of myself as a hotly excited SOT,BAT Stripper, and going viral as well, to boot! My DH is amused
Still waiting for my papers - I ordered them a week ago, but maybe mail to Canada is slower.

What wonderful news. The numbers are really growing on participants. I have some batiks HSTs made with cream batik on one side and a lovely dark batik on the other. The colors are very pretty - wine, purple, blue, green, violet, orange, brown. This is going to be so cool!!!! I am going to wait for the final count so I can have triangles to exchange with everyone. I have about 112 so far made up. Now I will need to find another project (Like I really need) . I am just doing this because I am waiting for my 2011 BOM kit in the Mauve/Rose collorway to become available.
