Anyone using Superior Thread instead of Aurifil? If so, cotton or poly? Which color ?

I am using Superior's Masterpiece - that is my favorite thread for piecing.

This sounds like great fun and the resulting quilt will be a special TQS Family/Guild keepsake! Please add me to the list!

Like Barb, I'm using MasterPiece cotton. Probably #154 Sculptor's Clay: http://www.superiorthreads.com/shop/...-yds/products/

I can't wait to get my papers and start! This morning I went through my fat quarters and chose the ones I want to use. They're ready and waiting. I'll definitely mark the papers before sewing and am looking forward to making bunches of them.

If you haven't had a chance to watch episode 802 where Edyta shows her quilts made from the HST's in an exchange like this yet, make sure you do. This whole thing makes so much more sense, and her quilts are awesome! And I had also noticed that many of our friends who are responding to this are posting for the first time. This is really something that will bring us closer together. Welcome to all of you!

Being a librarian, I had to research the topic of IRC's for our overseas friends. "International Reply Coupons" (IRC's) were created in 1906 by the Universal Postal Union to allow people to send letters and postage for a reply to other countries. This website tells a bit about it and also contains a list of countries who honor the coupons. http://www.upu.int/en/activities/int...about-irc.html For the amount you would need to purchase, contact your local post office.

I will be using a Superior Thread. Masterpiece is a cotton but a lightweight like the Aurifil. I was going to pick out a neutral med brown kinda like a brass brown. I honestly haven't picked out the color yet, but I would think about neutral shades.

I'lll probably use the mailing labels too...Avery 8167 (80 labels per sheet) will easily fit on the papers. Jane

Excellent information about shipping, Ellen. Thanks so much for sharing this, I know it's going to be extremely helpful. Edyta's show is awesome and watching it again (and again) will help clear up a lot of questions. We now have members from seven countries, and hopefully even more will join.

                              Happy stitching to everyone!
