Hey Fern in South Korea. You are sooo lucky to be going to Tokyo! Now that you've introduced yourself you just have to get in on the fun. Think of all the new family you'll meet. Not to mention the fun of having a quilt made by so many different people around the world.

This is so fun!!!!! I finished making my 700 HST yesterday. I can't believe how fast it went. Now today I am going to sign each one with my TQS name on the paper with a pencil. I have 25 sets consisting of 28 triangles. The fabrics range from batiks to civil war reproductions. I can't wait to see what comes back in exchange. The colors and all the different fabrics are going to make a beautiful quilt. The best part of all is it will have a little piece of each of you in it!!!!! I love quilts that have a special story or meaning to them. This quilt will have it all!!!! And of course the name will have to be "Brotherhood and Sisterhood - A Sharing of Friendship". Thank you Edyta for inspiring us. Debbie, Margo and all the others who are in volved in organizing this wonderful exchange. And thank you TQS members who are participating in the exchange. It is going to be a joy to have you all in my home!!!!! The fun just keeps rolling on and on here at TQS!!!!!

You GO, Carol! My papers came yesterday, and I'm going to write my TQS name, State and Country on my triangles before I sew them! Hoping that will be easier!

Margo, I wish I had thought of doing this before stitching them. Great idea!!!!! I guess we all learn from each other and it is so wonderful we can share from our experiences with all the other TQS members. What an excellent tip!!! I am going to add my state and country too!!!!

I posted several hours ago saying I'd like to participate but I'm not seeing my post anywhere, so I'll try again. (This window looks different so my last post may have gone to the wrong place?)

I plan to send in 10 sheets/280 blocks (I've doubled the amount since the other post!). I'm in western Massachusetts. Looking forward to this, what fun! And thanks to the organizers!

WHEW! After writing my name, state and country on about half of the package of Edyta's triangles I can report that:
1) It's a really boring job, but I hope every does it!
2) I like the fact that the ink in the new Sharpie Pen doesn't bleed through the paper
3) I like the fact that the ink in the new Sharpie Pen doesn't have that offensive chemical oder of their other markers.
4) I think that the Sharpie Pen is the most uncomfortable pen I own to write with! :shock: Someone needs to work on the shape of this! :roll:

One awesome thing I've noted about this exchange is the number of people who have been members for some time and this is their first post! Way to bring us together.
It will be quite interesting to see what quilts will be made from this. I'm not certain that I'd use all of them in one quilt; I'll have to see the triangles first. Some could be used as a border, or other portion of a quilt. It will be a fun surprise to see what I get.

Hey Jan! I'm also thrilled with all the new activity on the forum!!

A stamp would be a great alternative! I also thought about using return address labels!

I feel like a kid in a classroom writing "I will not talk in class" 100 times on the chalkboard! :lol:
