All the strata sewn and pressed, the pattern is made, and finally I had a chance to take photos outdoors so the colours can come out somewhat true.
Looks like I like to put a narrow dark strip as the second strip. I've done that on four out of five strata, but had no idea until I put them on top of each other :D

My progress with 2 rounds to add. Sometimes having 2 similar strata ends meet (at a seam) caused a visual problem for me. i.e. 1.5" and 1" dark almost lining up
It looked like a bad alignment in piecing. Did anyone else have that happen?
I just recut the pieces with a solid strip seaming to a strata end. I then worked for me.

Just starting (had to finish my last project so I could change out the navy thread). So excited to see my first round. Ricky said to pick fabrics I liked. It’s bright for sure. We’ll see…,

update……I have a few things to fix, but I got it together. So happy.

I was hoping my colour choices would produce something like yours!

The dark strips weren't on the outside edge of my stria, but they were near the edge so that only the tips of the template are dark. If the strips had been more centered, more of it would be visible. I feel it needs more dark.

I love this! You can add your dark in the wedgies, butts, an inner border, or in the main border. It's exciting. Congratulations. (don't over think)

I ordered the kit to be delivered to my daughter in New York as I am in Ireland. She is coming here next week (first time in 20 months) and I can’t wait to see her and get my fabric! Really enjoying watching the lessons.
