I pulled batik fabrics from my stash to work on this project. Looking forward to seeing all the various designs from everyone when completed.
Here is my finished (cutting only) kaleidoscope, despite the fact that questions were not answered.
Sue Gee, It turned out great. Was the question about where to use the focus fabric??? No right answer, if that is what you were wondering. But putting it in a
      couple strata worked great. HelenW

What a cool effect! It looks like rings! Now I wonder what colour Saturn's rings would be if they were in colour

That was fun! The instructions were excellent.

I'm guessing we re-assemble the wedges, sewing them in reverse order of how we cut them. I'm anxious for the next step as well!

My kaleidoscope. Not my best color match but it IS the first one and now will create another one with better colors to suit my taste.

What would you change if you could?
I'm always trying to learn a bit more about colours so it would be nice to hear what part you're not too keen on.

I loved this process. My wall fell and most of my blocks also fell!!! I hope I have them all arranged correctly.

Looks great! I have an oscillating fan in my room. I'm always afraid it will blow all the pieces off my wall. I usually pin blocks on, but there are so many pieces, I'm just going to take my chances. lol

I love this! I've been curious about what your caleidoscope would look like since I saw your strata, nice with the low intensity of colours.

Had a lot of fun with this even though I'm not in my usual space so I only have a mini-design wall. Great instructions!

Quite a challenge laying the pieces out and sometimes finding they were wrong. I'm trusting the flow and hopefully it will all fall into place when sewing this together, especially since I am not a perfectionist. But having fun, isn't that what it's all about.

Amen! I have a friend that thinks 'mushroom' is a color. Not in my color palette!

I need to revisit lesson 2 on where to go from here. The colors show better in the strata than on the design wall. Love those Ott lights.
