The daily blog today said the requirements 'starter packet' were now available. When I select BOM 2014, I get instructions for BOM 2013 ??

Woo Hoo! I received my material package yesterday!!! Can't wait to get started on this quilt! Question: How do you handle the material for kits as far as washing the fabric? Some of these pieces are just that...pieces. I always wash yardage but don't know about this one.

Rosamond, I prewash even little scraps by soaking them in the kitchen sink. I don't use any soap, just let them soak for about a half hour, wring them out, and let them air dry. That way it gets out all the chemicals in the fabric, pre-shrinks the fabrics, and if bleeding is going to occur, you can see it in the sink. You can use soap, but I don't wash my quilts with soap, so I don't use it on the fabrics. If it looks like a fabric is bleeding, I use a little bit of Retayne to stop it.

are all of the fabrics in the kit from one manufacturer? If so, which one?

Susan, RJR supplied all the fabrics for the quilt.

thanks Janet, I think I'm going to try & use my stash after looking at the list...nice clear colors, but I'd like to get the big yardage of the background fabrics.
