Cathy your blocks are marvelous, and your moving statements along with them! I'm not quite finished w/ July despite having LOTS of time to quilt as I sit w/ Mom at Hopkins. She got her new Bone Marrow from my brother on Tuesday and both are well, although he's definitely sore! My lil sis and I are nursing the 2 of them this week, then my big sis returns to take care of mom solo & the rest of us head home.
Having a loved one w/ cancer opens your eyes, but spending days and days and days in the cancer treatment center is another thing entirely...
Thanks to all of you who have been praying, we're feeling very positive right now...

Kathy, you block is beautiful as usual. You have made your blocks so meaningful, not just to you and your family, but to all of who see them and read your comments. Thank you for letting us be a part of this. Marge

Cathy, wonderful block, and I'm sure the stitching you will add with your long arm will be awesome.

As a cancer warrior, I understand about missing pieces, having to pull from different resources. Thankfully, my care was straight forward, as I am my own advocate.

My prayers are with you and your daughter.

Maggie in E. Central Illinois, another beautiful day, hopefully I'll get to sew a little bit.

Hi Everyone. I finished July. I have been printing out 'fit to page' on the previous blocks, so I tried 'none' on this one because of all the little circles. I don't notice much difference. It is closer to the edges of the block of course, but I think it will be ok....

Terri, you are so cleaver, I love your berries. Your quilt is going to look like a fresh spring garden with the verity of flower colors you have chosen.

OMG Cathy I love the reasoning behind the missing pieces! Ain't it the truth and how cleaver of you to interpret it that way. Great job.

And TErri how cute is your fabric selection on this block?!

Terri, WOW! Your block truly looks like a garden bouqet. Kudos on using that print for your berries! They look so fun! Did you satin stitch the stem for the berries? It looks awesome!

Maggie in E. Central Illinois, up early, but think it's supposed to rain today, so I won't have to water the lawn!

oh, yes, a satin stitch. Very slowly....
I don't know how anyone is accomplishing the 'turning under' for the berries. I sure admire those who can! :P

but the small yellow ones- I tried a flower decorative stitch in the middle of them. It turned out so so. but the thread matches so one has to look close, hmmmm watch out for the 'quilt police' they won't like it.... 8)
