Ritzy, your blocks are gorgeous. I love the black background with the bright colors. I've really just begun July, have the stems on and working on preparing the leaves. I use Sharon Schamber's technique with glue stick and love it...but there are SO many pieces in this block! I have taken a single photo of my first six and will get them posted one of these days.

I see you didn't put in the tiny circles on the hearts...I'm not either, that's just TOO much. If there's two of us, maybe the quilt police won't get us. LOL

THERE ARE NO QUILT POLICE ALLOWED IN THE BOM SQUAD!!
For anyone who doesn't want to tackle the teeny-tiny berries, you might want to consider adding a few french knots instead. I did that on my last GRAM SAYS block and it looked great.
With that said, I'm here to tell you that the teeny-tiny berries are definately do-able, just really tedious!

Ritzy this month's block is a winner and I LOVE your fabrics. I also LOVE your trapunto practice. Looks pretty proficient to me

Beautiful block Sandy. The tiny berries really make the block look more detailed and finished.

I am going to add the teeny-tiny circles after it is quilted. I am going to use some iron on metal circles that are just the right size. On my hand applique one I will either do a satin stitch by hand or cheat and use one of the decorative stitches on my machine.

To all of the above that have posted their July block - they are all so beautiful!!!! To the rest of us that have not gotten there as yet - I plan to start by the weekend and I must say that the little teeny circles really add to the overall charm (was tempted to not do those) but we shall see as I get to that point.

Thanks to all for the great tips and info as well.

Ritzy, your block is eye-poppingly beautiful! I love the dark background. And I think your trapunto looks great, too. That's something I haven't tackled yet, altho I purchased some wash-away thread just for that purpose, years ago!

Sandy, I love your block, it came out great, small circles and all. Congratulations!

I've started my block but i still have a long, long way to go.

Hello Everyone, I've posted my July block as well, for the teeny circle I found a stitch on my machine that was literally a round circle, but it was just part of a stitch pattern, so I just stopped it each time when I knew the rest of the stitch was about to start, it seems it worked out well, and was REALLY fast. That's a really cool idea Heidi. I have to remember that when I get to this block. Karen
