Margarita, your block is great, and your other applique quilts are fabulous. You really have the knack of needle turn. Great work.

And Heather, yours is beautiful too, love the pink flowers.

Ok, I have FINALLY finished my January block and posted in my profile, although I will be redoing this at a later time. I picked out a mottled cream color for the background blocks for the real quilt, so eventually I will get around to doing January again. Maybe I will wait until the whole thing is done and then go back so I can see how much I have improved. Once I get the fabric ironed (prewashed yesterday),I will be off to prep the February block with the real stuff. We have bad weather coming this weekend so who knows what I will get done.

Mandy, it doesn't look lopsided to me (maybe that's because my handles are lopsided and I can't see straight) LOL, but I love your colors and I think your block is great.

Mandy, I love the yellow star! It looks very good with the other colors and sets if off nicely without taking over. I like your block.

I spent the weekend trying a few methods of hand applique and have the star completed!!!! Not done yet, but off to a good start. I posted my progress in my profile. Hopefully by the end of the this week I can post a completed block. I found using a light stablizer was just what I needed!!!
