    Cathy,
As so many have already said, you and your family are in our prayers. I do like your block and the sentiment behind it. Quilting can be therapudic (sp?) You aren't alone with the backwards pieces in the first block. Mine are too. Oh well, as the Amish say, only God is perfect. Hang in there.

I just want to join the chorus of quilting companions/friends who are praying for all of you as you face these unknown challenges. God will sustain you in, through, AND beyond it. But I also know that sometimes it's pretty darn difficult to see it right now.

Your quilt story is a beautiful picture of the acceptance process!

Cathy, I want to add my heartfelt thoughts and prayers for you and your family. We never know what we will face in life. One thing I've found out over the years is that the Lord always walks with us and will never leave us. And your quilting friends care about you, too--just remember, you're not alone--we're all out here ready to listen and pray for you.

        P. S. Your block is beautiful!

                          Love your block Connie!

And thanks Katzz for the well wishes. I don't do applique either but decided I'd try the fusible applique and free motion stitching on this. So far I haven't had the nerve to start the stitching!

Katzzz, if you want to try hand applique you might be interested in looking at the tutorial I posted as I did mine! I have pictures and explanatory captions on my Webshots web page. It is just basic info geared towards beginners, and I hope it will encourage quilters to try the technique!
