Yippee, month 2 borders are finished. This is looking very nice- thanks again, Margo for putting together the Beloved Beauties kit. This month went faster than the first month. The paper foundations printed out perfectly and went together very well. I pressed open all the seams to flatten it out, that made the matches look better.

Having taken out my foundation papers I started sewing my pieces together last night and got very frustrated. When stacking the seams, as the instructions say, my seam was going wonky as I went over the bulk of 6 layers of fabric. I finally put it all away and decided to come back to it today a bit fresher. Having read through this thread again, I will repress some of the pieces and try nestling the seams and also try opening the seams right out. There is one advantage to being behind. I get to use everyone else's experiences to solve my problems.
Thank you all ladies for your help.

Yup! That is where I found it challenging, also! I did stack them, but probably would not if I did them again! Patience and perseverance pays off though! And, a little ripping and re-sewing now and then!Originally posted by pam7040Having taken out my foundation papers I started sewing my pieces together last night and got very frustrated. Well, better late than never. I had major problems with the setting triangles distorting on the first month. I took them off put it all to one side and put off redoing them, because I was scared. I continued working on the lattice pieces. The second time I tried to work on the triangles, Iheavily starched the triangles and they went on much better. There should have been a purple crumbcatcher between the applique and the setting triangles but I forgot until two triangles were on  and I wasn't then going to take the triangles off again;-)
I got there eventually

Pam if you go to http://www.picnik.com you can easily play around with your photos for cropping, rotating and playing with the exposure and a number of other things. just remember to re-number the photo when you save it back to your computer or you will lose the original.Originally posted by pam7040Another great achievement is that I managed to post a photo in the forum! All I need to do now is get DH to show me how to crop a photo for next time. :-)
