Ritzy, your border is wonderful! I posted a while back with this same message, but it never showed up. It must be lost in cyberspace.
I am looking forward to month three....however yesterday I had a bad accident with my rotary cutter. I severally cut my pointing finger on my left hand. I am hoping it will not affect my hand applique too much....      I have never done anything like this before, and I am still in shock that I did it.

And here it is....Ta DahhhhOriginally posted by LinnytI finished month 2 last night, but I didn't take a picture. I'll do that this weekend and post it. It was a little wrestle with the latice border, but not too bad. I had to take in a couple of the seams to make it fit. All in all it looks better than I thought it would. Can't wait for month 3! I'm really enjoying this quilt. It's just enough of a challenge to keep me interested, yet not so challenging that I get discouraged. I like that.

Thanks, Annis! I'll look for that tomorrow after I go to physical therapy. Is this paper what you use for all your paper piecing?Originally posted by ajclappLast time I printed on her paper my printer ate quite a few sheets and I spent lots of time pulling out little bitty pieces. It does tear away easily but you don't want it to tear while in the printer! Then I remembered using an Epson Loading Support Sheet behind the paper when I had used the paper in the past so I tried that and the rest of the pages printed fine. I was using a top loading Canon printer. I can still hear some of the paper in the printer when I turn it on. From now on I will only use the Office Depot translucent vellum paper, Item #345-854. I've never had any trouble with it printing, it's similar in price, tears away easily, and it's see-thru.Originally posted by eileenknyI have Carol Doak's foundation paper and my printer is trying to eat it!! It printed out 4 copies of the lattice just fine but now I can't get it to feed smoothly through my printer! Does anyone have a suggestion for me?? I'm pulling my hair out here  :!: :!:

Thanks, everyone. I'm having fun with this quilt pattern. I can hardly wait for the next section.
I based my color selection on a jelly roll strip set I bought months ago. I have since lost track of the tag with the name. It was Moda, but I don't remember which selection. I pulled fabrics from my stash to match it. It's working out well, so far, I think.

Yes, I discovered it last summer after trying about every paper out there and mail ordering some trying to find a see-thru paper that absorbs the ink, doesn't shrink, and tears away easily, that wasn't too expensive since I use lots of sheets. I use it on an inkjet printer. I think I tried it on a copier once but don't remember how well it absorbed the ink. One day I just decided to visit the office supply which is close by and see what the options were in tracing papers. You won't find this paper in the printer paper section. It is with the tracing paper, graph paper, etc. that are on pads. I just tear it out of the pad and cut it in half with my paper cutter since it is 11 x 17 paper. It's also available in 8 1/2 x 11 but my store doesn't carry that size. I've already gone through nine 50 sheet pads since I use it in my classes in addition to my projects. The only reason I used the Carol Doak paper recently is because I was out of the other and didn't want to make a trip to the store, and I had enough of her paper for the next project I was starting. I would have saved time if I'd taken that trip to the store since I had so much trouble with her paper. I have done a lot of printing on her paper in the past on a different printer but sometimes had to feed it one sheet at a time.Originally posted by eileenknyThanks, Annis! Ouch! I have done that before and it make you more careful. Hope there is no nerve damage or anything really, really serious.Originally posted by BertwoodRitzy, your border is wonderful! I posted a while back with this same message, but it never showed up. It must be lost in cyberspace.

Dag nab it -- it's definately not perfect but I finally finished month 2 and I'm now going to celebrate by going down to Dairy Queen and ordering a strawberry shake! And, I don't care that it's 34 degrees outside. LOL
I posted a picture in Show & Tell.
Linny, your block is beautiful -- looks like a garden to me with all of those lovely floral fabrics.

Linny, I love how your block is coming along. It has a very charming cottage floral look.
Janice, so sorry about your rotary cutter accident. I hope your finger will mend quickly, so you can keep up with all the quilting fun! Fons and Porter sell a protective glove for the hand that holds the rotary ruler; it might be a good thing to try while your hand is healing.
I spent the WHOLE DAY today sewing, but I still don't have my February block done! My daughter wanted to make a baby quilt for a shower next weekend, and we pieced the top today. Can't turn down those precious opportunities to sew with my girls! Hoping to still beat midnight tomorrow for the BOM!
