It is beautiful Geneva. I love the placement and all of the details you've included on it. Next month is going to be such a blast because all of these beauties are going to grow. Your colors are fantastic. You should email Jinny a picture of what you've done with inspiration from her book. She would love it too.

          Geneva,
I like that your Pinecones are so subtle-then the triangles come in with color!

Wow!, Geneva, your block is wonderful! And so nice to hear about your thought processes when you were making it! It's totally going to make your RR look different than anyone else's. Hugs, Robin

Wow, what a wonderful assortment of beautiful month one blocks- all of you have done such a nice job!! I completed my block today too and am happy with it. I did needleturn applique and added piping as did a lot of you. I think piping adds a lot of dimension and definition to the blocks.

Love it, Mary! Isn't it amazing what that tiny strip of color does for the whole block!

Mary, it's fantastic. I agree that the piping really does add a lot of spice. I had never done piping before this block.

Janice (in Northern MN) -- your block is beautiful. It has been a pleasure looking at the detail you added to original design -- the side flowers, the extra border around the hearts, piping, border, and setting triangles. Such a joy to view. Judy

Mary, I love your block. The piping really makes a difference too. Geneva, Your block is so different to the floral ones but so unusual, I spend ages looking at it working through the process you had used in my head. Great job!!

                              Mary,
Your block is just lovely...classic elegance. The "rose-ness" of the block really comes through with your fabric selections. I too am doing needle-turn on my block, and I'm very inspired to see your COMPLETED needle-turn block. I'm headed to the Myrtle Beach Quilt Party today, so I will have 6 glorious days of quilting, and lots of time to finish my block!
