I've been burning the midnight oil too. I'm sure I could have done the one big one in about the time it took me to do the 2 small ones but I don't need any more monstrous quilts right now. I just finished hand sewing the binding to the back of my king size BOM, all 436 inches of it. And I'm going to have to put 2 hanging sleeves on it which will be another 436 inches, but I'll use longer stitches so it won't take as long. I'm still not sure how I'm going to get a picture of it. Thank you for all of your nice comments. Everyone's blocks are looking great and I'm looking forward to the next round.Originally posted by gynconnieAnnis,
I'm burning the midnight oil just to get one block done this month and you've completed two! I think I've wandered into the big girls playground by mistake! Your mini-block is awesome!

Thanks all for your nice comments.
Annis, I admire your block even more now when I have tried that difficult method, but still I kind of liked the process.
All blocks are so special. Exciting what next month brings

I hear you on that one, the more I look at this quilt, the more I am falling in love with it!
I am making the yellow version at full size for my mother in law but I am really contemplating making a half size copy for myself!
Still mulling that one over though!

Hello everyone!
This is the first time I've posted on this forum. I have enjoyed reading and feeling yalls excitment on this bom. So much, that I've decided to make one. A late start is better than not starting, lol. I'm going with a black background with bright colors of pink, yellow, orange and green. The colors really POP. I've always wanted to make a black quilt...... but I thought it would be black, white and red....... not brights. But this is what I'm gonna try. The fabrics look good together. So we'll see.
PS I knew I shouldn't have read, this thread. Now here i go with another quilt. LOL Yalls excitement was too much for me to handle!
I love everyones blocks, each one is unique!!!!!!!!

I finished month one. Yeah!! It's hand appliqued, then piping and a striped mitered border. I won a package of 30 fat quarters at a retreat and plan on using as many of the fabrics as I can. I posted it in the show 'n tell but can't seem to get the photo to work here. Think I got it.
