When you love this pattern so much you can’t stop at one. So I decided to make a second smaller version in alternate colours. Making the mini blocks just 2.5 inches each.

Wow, Amy! Amazing work. I love what you did with the full size version to make it your own. But the half size version is incredible. Well done!

Love your solution to not doing the Applique.

I am at the finish line for the Laurel Ridge fall quilt. I would like to make it in spring fabrics. I do not see a list for fabric colors and the amounts of each fabric which usually come with patterns. I really have no idea how much fabric was needed for each block, since this is my first BOM and I never thought to measure before cutting. Did I miss this somewhere?

What an extraordinary quilt! The softer star blocks beautifully highlight the interior design, and your applique changes add such charm. Truly well done! - Lynn

I followed the pattern. I learned so much with this pattern, including hand applique! I look forward to custom quilting this.

Beautiful job. I too needed to learn applique and I still don't have the applique done. I suppose I can post my quilt in February or March when I get it done.

The photo must be too large. Resize it smaller and send again.

Here's my finished quilt. I went off the ranch, changing the center which meant changing the secondary square because it wouldn't work with the new, larger, rectangular center.

Snowflake pattern was from the Canuck Quilter Designs. Deer applique is "Stag Nation" by Sewn into Fabric (this is out of print, and I think out of business.)

Finished the Grandmother's Quilt top with only one border. I increased the size of the teal border to 2 1/2 inches and just ordered an additional fabric for another border. In all, there will be 3 borders so I'll be able to use the quilt on my king sized bed. While I wait for the additional fabric to arrive, I'll be making the sandwich for the Granddaughter's quilt to prepare it for quilting on my sit down Q20. I'll be quilting these 2 quilts for most of this year...but looking forward to seeing these beautiful quilts finished!!
