This is really a question about something Lynn showed in Month 1. She showed how to pin a block to some sort of Teflon board to correct the flaws. I was wondering what the teflon thing was made or what it is called. I searched for something like that on line but couldn't find it.

It’s a pressing board. Anything you can press onto will work. The thick Cut Rite freezer paper is cut to 5.5” and pressed to the board. The block is wet with starch, sizing, Best Press, etc, then pinned in place to the freezer paper, then left to dry. I use my regular ironing surface, covered in cotton batt and cotton fabric, or a wool pressing pad.

Hi’ I’m trying to catch up. I’m doing the alternative blocks you showed in month 7 in lieu of the appliqué and then I’ll add a piece to it. My problem is, I don’t know what size to cut the squares of the two fabrics in the flying geese. I watched and read your instructions in month 1 on how to complete those flying geese. I’m good with the construction part, but I cannot figure out the math to come up with a flying geese measuring 1 1/4 x 1 1/2. Thanks for any help.

The measurements are in the Month 1 pattern. The background is 4”, the small squares are 2.25”
