Words for above blocks. I decided to make pinwheels for the June block. I had to make several to get the correct size for the triangles.

Lovely option. Those units are 2.5" each finished so quilter's math sure comes into play. Good job!

Really enjoyed Barbara's live on month 6. I need to try the slip knot to hold the thread on the needle since I am doing
Alex Andersons Wishes, and the hand stitching down the pieces uses that thin thread. I also liked Barbara's variations
for Laurel Ridge. I am still playing around with ideas and from the beginning was thinking of using a feathered star
center and 4 ten inch stars around it. HelenW

I’m using Rosa R. Method of appliqué and I’m going to sew all 7,8 & 9 pieces to their bases 3, 4, &6
then going to sew 5 to 6 before I add then to the background. Just thinking out loud

Here is my progress so far. I was so impressed with every one’s appliqué in February that I created the tree pattern from my head and the flowers and heart I found on line. Barbra and Lynn thank you so much for this amazing quilt journey . I have really enjoyed it!

Finished two blocks for the Granddaughter quilt...changed it up a bit. Six more to go. Not sure if I'm going to use the same design for the Grandmother's quilt, it depends on how I feel after making 6 more of these

Not doing appliqué. This is my choice of 5 1/2 X 8 inch block.

Thanking Lynn Wilder for “permission to modify” and Barbara Black for encouraging a “your quilt, you decide” approach. Prepared edge applique using QS Print and Piece Fuse Lite and KKB Perfect Leaves. Hand stitched. Still haven’t decided on flower center fabric or color.
