I have March done but one set of blocks does not have a lot of contrast. I may change my fabric.

Really glad Month 3 blocks were simple - gave me time to finish up my applique from Month 2!

I’m just joining this BOM. So I have posted the first 3 months together. I liked the Grandaughter collection best, but wanted to have my qui;t be unique to me, so I chose similar but different fabrics.
The pinwheel featured is 4 of the 40.
PS: I posted this message once, but don’t see that it actually made it to the forum. If it shows up later, then my apologies for the duplicate.

My blocks completed . I decided to not use appliqué in this quilt so changed month 2 to stacked squares block.

Here are my Month 3 blocks. I like the 8-at-a-Time method. I even cut some slightly bigger so I had more to trim to the perfect size.

I’ve been done with our March blocks but am curious before I start cutting….Barb mentioned we will make 40 blocks….will these all be the same color? Or later will they be different fabrics?

For Month 3 the pattern shows you, 40 of one set of fabrics, 8 of another.

I'm mostly finished with the March blocks. I still have a few to trim, but I decided to send the photo of two of them that are all finished. I'm still working on my February blocks! Maybe I'll be done with those in April or May as I'm still working on getting the pieces ready to sew. I had to sew an evening gown for my Daughters of the American Revolution state conference so everything else got put on the back burner. The conference is over and I can get back to sewing quilt blocks. I had chosen fabrics, then once I saw where the fabrics were to go, I had to get more fabric! The dark purple fabric is the new one as the first fabric I purchased was just too light. As I was cutting the fabrics for the April blocks, I realized that the first fabric will just go to the stash as it won't look good in the April block, either. This new one is a much better fit. I have teals and purples for my main fabric colors.

Finished Blocks for month 3. I know this is not a new technique, but it was for me. I appreciate Lynn's teaching style and Barbara's tips and tricks. I also finished organizing my binder.
