    Lynnanne, While watching the latest Quilt Show with Kate Colleran I saw the trailer for Kyra Reps for the next show. She wins
    blue ribbons for making dot mandela quilts. She has a you tube channel where she has videos on Rosa's Appliquick technique.
    On her website she sell the pre-made template circles that fuse on back of fabric. I know you might not be able to
    buy that in Italy, but maybe some of the other ladies would like this easy way to do it. The you tube videos are worth watching.

    I decided to change the appliqué because I loved the pink plaid fabric so much. I used the Rosa Rojas and Alex Anderson methods of making and machine appliquéing. Two totally done (still need to trim) and 10 ready to machine appliqué. Hopefully they will play nicely with adjoining blocks!

    I'm not going to do all the applique this month to highlight the flamingo fabric in the background. I purposely placed the hearts in circles in places between the birds and will celebrate their asymetry.
