I’m behind, but I finally got month 2 done. I was so afraid of doing the appliqué that I put it off, but it wasn’t that bad - just time consuming. I tried to make the BERNINA stitches look more handmade, but I couldn’t get that function figured out, so I just stitched. I think this is raw edge? I started to put beads on this, embellish it, then remembered I’d later quilt it, and stopped.

I fussy cut these blocks because I will be sharing this quilt with my fur babies I will make the applique’ blocks for a pillow instead. I love to hand stitch needle turned appliqué.

I really like your choice of block. I am thinking I don't want to do the applique, and this looks like a great alternative for me.

Thanks for posting your lovely hexagon blocks. They really helped me figure out what I was going to do instead of the appliqué.

It took me two months because - Life, but I finally have month two blocks done. Hand appliquéd down, freezer paper turned. And it is only the first week of month four. lolol. Good thing month three will only take a few hours.

The only answer is “maybe”. Web sites change over time and older things are removed. My blogs will remain as long as Blogger exists. The LIVES on YouTube may remain.
The patterns will no longer be available FREE after December 31, 2025. They will be available for sale from the designer.

I was wondering if I cannot do the quilt now, will I be able to access the teaching video’s next year? I am obsessed with this quilt too.

I'm way behind, lol, but at least have the first 2 blocks of month 2 complete (though not trimmed to size yet). I digitized the design to cut on my scan n cut and stitch down on my embroidery machine. It was an enjoyable challenge The next 10 should go quicker now that I have the process down.

My first go at one of the BOM patterns - finally finished my Month 2 blocks! Using my own fabric, but wanted to follow the original applique pattern. Used Karen Kay Buckley's Perfect Circles for the center and small dots - small dots were tricky! Regular needle-turn applique for the other pieces.

Gloria, I’m glad I’m not the only crazy one. I am doing both color ways too. I needed a spring quilt for our bed and the other one goes perfectly with our guest bed. Love the plaid house and tulips(?).

I used a combination of fused raw edge applique with blanket stitch (regular sewing machine) and embroidery (embroidery machine) and some hand stitching on the hearts. This is one of the ones I like best. I may add some beads (after quilting) to some of the others that didn't turn out as well.
