I've challenged myself to use only fabrics from my stash for this BOM. I also wanted to figure out the math to machine piece the dog tooth borders. I'm pleased so far.

Gorgeous! Love the purple fabric on the left flower- perfect choice!

Finished month one of the BOM. I struggled some with the paper piecing on the border, but I think it turned out good. Other than the paper piecing, I really enjoyed the process. Hopefully I will figure out the paper piecing better this month!!

Finished block 1! Using dark purple for background will be a challenge as I only had enough for this block- Off to the quilt shop.

I am using a black background with bright gellato ombre for the flowers. Nice to see it with the border. How did you make the 1/8" stems for the berries?

I used the Karen K Buckley method and her 1/8” plastic guides- then sewed with tiny :) stitches.

This was so much fun!! Can't wait to start Block 2.

Here is my finished block 1. On the corners, I used black striped fabric that I plan to use for the borders.

After finishing my block 1, I decided I would make it a bed quilt as well as a quilt to hang over our loft railing. For the bed, I thought I needed pillow shams too… so I made my own pattern similar to block 1 and made 2 shams. This is one that I finished today.

Love the quilt! I'm a new member and enjoying using my Tula Pink scraps and other brights from my stash. Hand appliqued - back-basted except for stems -with paper-pieced border.
