Finished my houses 1&2. Used the #10D foot and it worked perfect. Also cut my background 51/2 x71/2 and used the template.

                    My 8 small houses 1

                    Comment

I just finished my small houses 1 & 2. I love, love this method. I have taught foundation quilting using newsprint and this is so much easier. My husband likes it too (no little pieces all over when I rip it out). Thank you Barbara for all the information on prepping and the idea of cutting 3 1/2” strips from the fabric—makes cutting much quicker. Using the 10D foot (edge foot) is wonderful. Thank you to whoever mentioned it to Barbara so she could pass it on to all of us. I don’t know who suggested using the little craft iron but I want to thank you too. Can’t wait for the Mariners compass block next month.

I have always had difficulty with paper piecing. This method is a game changer. Thank you Barbara for all of your tips and tutorials. I had so much fun doing this I didn't realize I had made an extra block.

The universe has been a tough place to navigate this last week. But, pictures of these little houses cheer me up so much I have tears in my eyes.

LIttle houses and cities drenched in color all over the world.
