People are posting their houses to two different spots. Color my World Houses 1 and 2 or Show and Tell with helpful hints. Can these topics be combined or should we just check both for what is posted.

Here is my block 1&2 blocks completed. I may redo some of them after seeing the other photos posted but it will mean that I have to shop for some more background material.
They can’t be combined so we just have to check both places.

Next month I will start a Topic: Show Your Month ___ Blocks here. That should keep all the photos in one Topic.

You may stack some sheets of freezer paper together, put the pattern on top and sew along the lines with a thick needle without thread.

I am posting photos of my block 1 & 2 houses. Not sure I love them and my redo some of them if I can find more of my background material.

JoanHuffman, Love what you have done! Would not change a thing. There is a lot of sky fabric out there, you may find a match.

            Helen,
Dumb question--if I print all of the templates at 75%, will everything fit together? I don't have the quilting chops to figure out how to create a Mariner's Compass, for example, without a template of the right size (I am still trying to get the Kaffe mystery to me quilt finished because of borders and all not quite fitting!). I so want to be able to display this quilt, but I will need to make it smaller. Karen

I FINALLY MADE ONE. It was not an easy task for me...had my problems.
I didn't see anywhere the size of a pieced house. My House 1 measures appr 2 3/8 on the bottom, 4 1/4 on top and is 11 inches tall.
              Does that sound right????

Why did my image turn sideways? Anyone know how to correct that?

That happens to most of us, we don't know why. It should not happen on the new website we will be moving to soon.

Meegwat, You can always make part of the the pattern, say maybe the Mariner's Compass and the just the first road and one circle of houses. That would be cute.

Karen, In a perfect world the answer would be YES, but with everyone using different printers, it is up in the air. Some turn out perfect, and some are not exactly 360 degrees.
I look at it, if you come up short you just add a few filler pieces, like maybe using the tree spots to insert an little fabric. That is just one idea. No guarantees. Sorry. HelenW
