    Railroad Block Instructions from Dee's Saturday Sampler July 20, 2024

    Railroad Block Instructions (Per Block)

    9.5 Inch Unfinished Block

    Block Center
    • Make 1 strip set 15” long x 3.5 “ wide

    Sashing for Center Strip
    • Cut 2 pieces 1 3/4” x 11”
    • Center 1 sashing strip on each side of center strip and sew on.
    • After sashing strips are sewn on, trim to 1”

    Corner Triangles
    • Cut 1, 7.5 inch square.
    • Cut square diagonally once to make two triangles.
    • Center a triangle on the sashing on each side of block and stitch.

    Press.

    Square up block to 9.5 inches.
