Architectural Quilt Challenge
Teri Lucas and I challenged each other to make a quilt inspired by architecture by next mid-April, and then we thought it would be fun to invite you all. She and I already put this on our blogs, but thought I'd put it here too just so you'd all see it. Check out the challenge on Teri's blog: http://terificreations.wordpress.com...enge/#comments and mine: http://blog.bjfabricartist.com/categ...quilt-off.aspx and come join us in this low-pressure, just for fun, no prize challenge.

Robin, Just take your time...look through some photographs or books, do some scrolling through the Internet. Here's an interesting link for you that might get your ideas flowing:

Thanks, Betty Jo. Some wonderful quilts in those links! I'm sure something will come, and part of the fun of designing is the moment when something does just pop into my head. Sometimes it just takes a bit more time for that to happen. Right now, I'm trying to finish up some AAQI quilts, then a couple of graduation quilts, then something for my local show in October, so I wouldn't really have time to work on this one until after Houston anyhow. Fun to think about, though, so thank you and Terri!Originally posted by SewdreamyRobin, Just take your time...look through some photographs or books, do some scrolling through the Internet. How delightful! Hope you do. It will be fun.Originally posted by ReetzbobeetzBJ and Terri when I read this thread first I thought, no that's not for me. But then I looked at the links you had posted BJ and I now have several ideas rolling round in my head. So maybe I will partake in this challenge after all. I am glad there is a long lead-in time too. Thanks.

Sounds like a great idea, and I love the theme. I'm going to wait until we have our first guild meeting in September, because they usually issue a challenge for the year, so I'll see which I would rather do. ( That is, after a couple of UFO's are done!)
