Day 3! We've made it this far -- we can make it through the rest of the week!
And just to see who's brave out there, today's list has a couple of attention-getters....
11. A ribbon you won for one of your quilts
12. The messiest part of your sewing area
13. The cleanest part of your sewing area
14. A piece of “what was I thinking?” fabric
15. Your favorite quilting magazine(s)
And remember, you don't have to do all of them -- just post what you have -- and you can submit any day's pictures whenever you have time.
Have fun!

Here's my cleanest area, can't stand a mess on the machine! My favorite quilt magazine are from "Down Under." American publishers could read and learn instead of copying each other.
With 3 projects going now, there's a lot on the cutting table.
The UGH fabric is hiding under the magazine, too ashamed to be seen!!

Friday's photo's:
The messest part of my sewing room is really the whole room:
The neatest part of the sewing room is right now my dining table. I was sewing with a friend and moved my sewing machine out of my little itty bitty sewing room so we could sew together:
My ribbon is just a judges merit ribbon, but it was my ribbon for what I did and I was thrilled:

Here is the messiest part of my sewing room.
This is the neatest, cleanest part of my sewing room...until I start sewing again later this afternoon.
I've never entered a quilt in competition but I did get this ribbon from participating in Ami Simm's "Worst Quilt" contest several years ago. This is my ONLY quilting magazine - a 1994 issue! I really like the fabric but I wonder what I was thinking because I've never come up with a quilt to use it in. It's just SO BRIGHT!

I hear you, Bridget - I'm in the "never entered" category, too! But I thought I'd post this pic of the costumes I'm working on for DD's musical show next weekend - they're doing "Once Upon A Mattress" so I'm up to my eyebrows in long, flowing sleeves. (I wonder if I'll ever get out of costuming - did them years ago for the local community theater, then for kids in high school productions, then for family in another community theater, then for daughter at her first teaching job, now for still another community theater group, and also now for daughter's second teaching job - not to mention for my two choruses. Oh, wait - I have grandkids coming up!)
Here's messiest part of the costume shop at the moment.
and here's the cleanest!

I actually remember what I was thinking on this one (backing for charity quilt) but I've never been able to force myself to use it!
And these are the only two quilting mags I get - so I guess they're my favorites.
Thanks for doing this, Bridget - it's a fun way to get out of the UGH-grumps each day!

I'll play!
Seeing that I'm sitting here in the North-East of England, and it's dark, wet and cold outside. So, here goes.......
1. Thimble.... that's something very small and cute, so I think my granddaughter qualifies.
2. Lots of falling leaves on the fabrics. This quilt lives in CA with friends who love it because it reminds them of a holiday in Vermont.
3. Tough one. I have too many to choose from. This is a needlework piece designed by Marc Saastad of The Silver Lining. When it's finished it'll be a gorgeous bunch of lilacs.

And here are the other two:
4. This is a vintage Steiff toy. It's the only furry friend in my house.

5. My great-grandfather brought this 'Koran Stand' back from somewhere in the East, we think Syria. Definitely more than 100 years old.

I'm soooo behind now..... pant, pant...... mumbling: must catch up.......
So let's try a couple more:
8. View from study window.

6. All sorts of hand-dyed fabrics in this small wallhanging.

7. Lots of 9-Patch blocks and you can see, 10. the trusty iron

11. Ribbon I have won: I'll have to pass on that one, because I can't find the one and only ribbon. I got 2nd place in the needlework category at the MA state fair in 2002 (long story
)
More tomorrow when I have had some sleep. It's almost 11pm here. From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood
