        Hi Sue,
Well I survived both, but won't know results for awhile. The sleep test was very different! wires all over me and I think I slept fairly well, at least they didn't come in and put the CPAP machine on me then and there! So now to wait for dr appts to find out results. The gut is still swollen and I just work around it!!

Joan don't you just love those sleep studies they wire you up for sound then expect you to sleep but tell you not to move too much or the wires may need adjusting. Just sleep "NORMALLY" . Like it is normal to have more wires then your fuse box conected to you. They found that I pass meds and never stop walking even when laying down during mine. Feet always moving and my patient Irene does not like her meds.
Ritzy I wish I could say something to take your mind off your sons troubles but just know that I am thinking of you and I pray that all goes well with his treatment. Just remember even the great president FDR didn't know why he was struck with polio until he was faced with a Great War. Perhaps there is something down the road that your sons character and faith will be a testament to.
Happy E-mail me more about you surg. I am flabby too due to the other surg and we need to talk.
Good news by the way I talked my sister into the gastric bypass surg. She is very over weight and has several health issues because of it. We bury her husband on May 18. That is going to be a tough day.
I get my sewing machine back from the fix it shop next week. Appartently more was broke on it then origanally thought.

How is everybody? I hope you are all busy quilting or something else good for you and not all sick! Although I am sick of the rain! Whew! I never knew it could rain so much around here!
But I do have some good news: I do not need a sleep apnea machine! whew! The doctor said that I could be helped with an oral nighttime appliance and I see the TMJ dentist on Monday for that! So I am relieved!
Thanks for your prayers. I see the gut doctor on the 21st. The heating pad has been my best buddy this week, but ok otherwise.
You are all in my prayers.

Good news on not needing a sleep apnea machine, Dh got one afew years ago and didn't use it much at all it collects dust, the sound of the air in the tubes would keep you awake. plus it is irritating as can be. I hope the test goes well for your stomach and that you find good treatment to make you feel better. The heating pad was agreat friend of mine for many years. Heat sooths the aches. T.C.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to you everyone.

Well, DH's sister, Paula, did not have surgery today. Both the cardiologist and the anestheologist said she couldn't have the surgery. She is upset about it. The nosebleeds are really sapping her energy. If they get worse, then they will revisit the issue of surgery. Please keep her in your prayers.

Josh is in the hospital in Houston and doing better. The doctors say that he should be able to be independent in the future which is a relief to him and his family.

My cousin Banita has had brain cancer for many years Chemo has helped her. She has been through the wringer with this chemo stuff. She has been fighting with this over ten years now.

                    There is hope through treatment.

Hi, it is my turn to tell you all of my woes, and perhaps spread a little word of caution. I have just spent the week in the hospital and returned home yesterday. A week ago Sat,. I was brushing my cat and he really bit down hard. By the following morning. my hand was so swollen that the knuckles were invisible. Upon a trip to the ER, I was given a tetanus shot, stuck with an IV and sent upstairs where I remained for a week while my hand got redder and redder, The infectious disease doc called in a hand surgeon who opened me up on Thursday and scraped out all of the infection. He said that the sheath surrounding the tendon on the back of the hand had been injured and the Pasteurella germ common with cat bites had taken hold.
So after finding out that 80% of cat bites become infected with either the Pasteurella virus or strep or staph, I thought I would pass it along to you. So you watch those kitties sitting on your quilts. My DH wanted to make the cat part of the food chain for the coyotes.
Don't know how long I will be unable to quilt or even knit. I am leaning how to use my other hand really well. Judy in AZ

Judy, I'm so sorry to hear about your being in the hospital! I hope you're responding to medications, etc. and will be on the mend. I have never heard of this sort of thing, but I appreciate your letting us know--I have grandchildren with cats and will let my daughters know about this. I'll remember you in my prayers, too.
