Thank you all, your prayers and thoughts much appreciated. The hardest thing is living so far away... If I hadn't called just after they received the news, I probably still wouldn't know. I can't just hop on a plane and visit for the weekend. He's keeping his spirits up (and so is my mom), and that's the most important thing - luckily were a very positive family and tend to find a bright side to just about anything! Busy making a soft and cuddly quilt for him, if he continues to loose weight he'll need some warmth.

Lotti I think making him a soft, cuddly quilt is a wonderful expression of your love and concern for your Dad. Praying for you and your family. Stay positive--it's always the right way to go
      Blessings,

Just read your last post and must say that your father and mother did a wonderful job raising you to be such a caring person and they can be so proud of that. I am sure it will mean so much to both of them to have you there for a visit. Please keep us updated.

Heard from Mickey Depre tonight. Her BIL was diagnosed with Non-Hogkins Lymphoma. He is starting chemo on Wednesday. Please pray for Mickey, Paul, their kids and Paul's family.

Lottie, I am sorry to hear about your dad. It will be a big help and support that you will be soon over to see him and your mum; you seem a very close family. Positive thoughts are winging their way to you and them.

Lotti, I'm sorry to hear about your father's illness. Many prayers that by the time you get there, things are well under control! They can do so much now for all types of cancer, so I hope this is one of them!
Also saying prayers for Mickey and family.

Not long ago I asked all of you dear and sweet people for your prayers because my spirits were very low after another series of treatments for my bladder cancer, and was in pain after being cut internally when they inserted the catheter.

Today I want to thank everyone for their prayers and shout, "Hallelujah!"

Nine years after diagnosis, surgeries, and treatments, my bladder cancer is "history". After yesterday's Cystoscopy, my doctor officially diagnosis my cancer to be in remission!

Thank you, bless you, and I love my Quilt Show "family"!
