Hi everyone, I am still around  I am glad to hear that evryone is still here. I feel for every school teacher this day and age by the way. I do not know what is going on with several of these kids. What I do know is many parents just want to have fun and not grow up and do the right discipline thing. Therefor there are no consequences for bad decissions. I also sympathize with your hubby going through dimentia. It is very hard to accept when or mind is not what it use to be. Fortunately your hubby made the right decission to give up his license before some became seriously injured.
By the way for those of you who know about my accident. I just took all my Xrays and MRIs to another radiologist. My Dr. could not understand why I still was in so much pain. Plus they did another Xray. I have 3 compression fractures in my thorasic spine. They have been there all along. Very obvious and they were on every Xray and MRI since the accident. I could strangle the radiologist at that other place.

Judy I thought you were saying your daughter was in physical danger when I first read your post but then talked myself out of that interpretation. I can't believe what teachers have to go through! I'm so sorry that good people have to face such outrageous conditions. I'm praying for her safety.

All the above requests in my mind during prayer time. Judy, I have 2 daughters who teach - elementary for one, college for the other. I can't imagine how discouraging this must be for her............and scarry for you!
Ritzy, praying for DD#2 half brother and family.
Nancy, best wishes for more recovery for husband.
And all the others I may have forgotten to mention.

I am requesting prayer for our son, Alan, and his family, as he has been admitted to the hospital for knee surgery because of an infection in his knee. Apparently it's the result of a scrape he received earlier, and now there's considerable swelling and pain. They are scheduling the surgery now (4:45 p.m. Monday) and he will need to spend the night in the hospital. Pregnant wife Sarah is home with 3 other little ones, so pray for her, as well!

I am requesting prayer for my mother and myself. My mother will be 86 years old next month. My father passed away 2 1/2 years ago. Mom cared for him through a long period of illness and depression. Since he died, her depression and anxiety have increased tremondously. She lives about 45 minutes away from me.
In the spring I felt that God spoke to me about my mother buying the house down the street from us and moving to be nearby. I still believe that. I have been very careful about presenting the idea to my mother, making it clear that it is her decision. She agreed to proceed.
All summer she has been worrying if this is the right thing or not and depressed because she does not want to leave her home. The closing on buying the house is this Friday. This is tearing her apart and me, too, even though I still think that this is the right thing to do. Please pray us through this major change in our lives.
Thanks, Joyce

It is so hard to become the parent to your parent. You are making a good decision (IMHO) but it is never easy. My brother and my Mom made a different decision which I was never comfortable with but I was not around and didn't have to deal with the issue. You need to hold your ground and things will work out. Life is hard but you have to do what works for you. Keep the faith. Hugs, Ann

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my 2-year-old daughter Morgan. She is scheduled for her kidney surgery tomorrow morning (endoscopic so thankfully there is no cutting involved -- but she still needs general anesthesia). Hopefully this will fix her up for good and since she's still so young she'll probably never remember it happened. Thank you friends and please know that I keep you all in my prayers as well.

Thinking of little Morgan today. My nephew Kevin has not had anymore seizures but they haven't completed all the tests yet. The doctor said it could be a stroke (he shows no signs of that now), a form of epilepsy, or diabetes. I never even thought of diabetes but my mother is diabetic and so was her mother. He is doing fine right now but of course we want to know what is wrong.
Mom has been having trouble drinking liquids, she coughs and gets strangled. Last week they started thickening her liquids and she accepted them is and is not getting strangled on them. Pray for a cure for Alzehimers.
